The lad on Twitter (Pingu) has just said Still was at the club earlier this week..his 2nd time.. Something must have happend or we couldnt agree the terms...interesting though..
Going to wait and see who we end up with before criticising but hypothetically speaking if we end up with say heck or Rosenoir then I'd be really disappointed and would be hoping for Speakman to be shown the door tbh. Obviously not writing off those managers at all but what have we been doing the past few months if we end up with a say heck who has been available for months or Rosenoir who wasnt even available until a couple of weeks ago and isnt deemed good enough by Hull? (I mention these two because these feel like the only ones linked who havent already been taken by other clubs). And if its the case that the targets we wanted chose not to come here, then I ask why? Does that mean our current structure is not appealing to higher profile coaches and we just go for people who are free and probably see SAFC as the best they could ever get? Again this is just hypothetical chat but the pessimist in me is starting to feel like I'm going to be underwhelmed with the appointment especially with some of the names we've had linked, hope I'm wrong!
What is shocking though, everything is just pure speculation, we have no idea who they are after or have spoke too
Yes we definitely do. So do agents, potential head coaches, potential signings, current players. If Speakman is being undermined then we are in trouble.
Absolutely perfect for us in my opinion. Always my preferred choice. Seems he isnt anywhere near our thinking though.
Rightly or wrongly SAFC are seen as a risky career choice at the minute In terms of safety it'd be like moving from the Costa Del Sol to the Ukrainian border
If they’ve been willing to flex the model, allow him to bring his staff in (which has all been reported) and he still doesn’t want to come there’s not much else the club can do, frustrating but I don’t want us to get to a stage of begging people to be a part of this club
Where to start? 1. The BCB ****e. 2. Appointing Beale. 3. Writing off the season when playoffs were still in touching distance. 4. Finishing last season in 16th and only 6 points above relegation. 5. Having the 2nd worst form in the league in 2024. 6. Potentially chasing Still for months only to be told no when we’ve apparently thrown all our eggs into that basket. I should really be asking you what we’ve got right recently, because if you don’t think any of the above is a problem, then you need to take off those rose tinted glasses mate.
