It certainly was!! Very wet, and very emotional. I was crying my eyes out when he played The River…..I know I’m a soft shyte but that song gets me every time! I’d put a Facebook post on yesterday morning about the gig and the weather and tagged a link to his song Waitin on a Sunny Day. One of the lads I was with in the pub yesterday said he wouldn’t play that….and he only went and opened the show with it!!! First time he’s played it since 2017 and very fitting
My mate has seen him loads and said the best nights he’s had watching him are when it’s raining. He seems to raise his game. My boy was security there and loved it even though that’s not “his” music.
Seen him a few years ago when he was here. Absolutely class. Refused to pay what was demanded this time around (more than double). Great gig and very entertaining, glad I've seen him in the past. I'm not tight fisted, but these artists these days couldn't give a ****e about the cost of living etc.
Absolutely brilliant, 4th times ive seen him, golden circle tickets, cost fortune, took my lads along also, 13 & 15 as wanted them to experience a true legend....nobody does a 3 hour gig (or not many if they do)...truth be known he would have plenty songs left to continue for another 3 hours....ill continue to see him play until he packs in...looked like he had it in him for at least another tour
Did he do "57 Channels and nothing on"? I'd be furious if I'd paid all that for the golden circle and he didn't do that one? lol I must admit, I like most of his stuff and there's absolute classics that never get air time, Murder Inc, Blood brothers, Better days, brilliant disguise etc

Absolutely mate no bother at all. Think I’m going to start regular gig posts week to week or a couple of weeks in advance. Would like some of the forum lot to get there to meet in person. Woodman is lovely now. Landlord is a tight arse but the pub is great
You should mate, definately. I'm hoping to catch you next time you're up Consett area. You gotta play Run to the Hills mind
Bruce you fkn boyo... In his speech, Springsteen referenced his "long and wonderful history" in the UK, thanking the "extraordinary" fans who have been with him since his first show in Hammersmith some 50 years ago. The Ivors ceremony came after a gig in Sunderland the previous night, playing in "hellacious" weather, Springsteen said. "Standing in front of me in the rain, I realise: these are my people.
