Would’ve been nice to see a bit of potential history with Leverkusen getting the second of a possible unbeaten treble but it’s also a wholesome moment knowing Gasperini will be winning his first trophy, really good manager and now he’s finally getting rewarded after a long career.

Atalanta have been superb under him and tonight is the pinnacle of it all.

What a lovely treat watching a final that was genuinely a pleasure as a neutral fan. I would have been delighted for either side to win it, so fair play to Atalanta and congratulations on their first trophy in 61 years

Such a contrast to the 2019 final where I spent most of the game hoping the stadium would be hit by a meteor.

 

I sometimes think there is a worldwide conspiracy sparing no possible effort to stop Kane winning a trophy.

 

He’s apparently set to sign a new one year deal.

Honestly this man is my hero. What a job to have. Basically train a bit, free seats to watch the best side in Europe, pick up thousands a week, have multiple trophies on your CV to celebrate and then go out on the piss when you win them.

Estimates on how long people think Paqueta’s ban could be?

People on Twitter are finding videos of his alleged spot fixing incidents and let’s just say he’s looking very guilty.

I’d imagine if he is deemed guilty then it’ll make Toney and Tonali’s bans look like slap on the wrists as I’m pretty sure spot fixing is considered far, far worse than just betting on matches.

 

How old is he?

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s career over (at least at a top level anyway)

 

Paqueta's 26 but turns 27 in August. Depends on how long the ban is, but may be able to play professionally again at some point. Maybe not in a top-5 league, but I'm sure someone would take him.

The Mail are claiming that Paqueta could face a ten year ban if he’s found guilty.

Someone on Twitter also found a piece on a lower league player that got found guilty for one offence and was hit with a ten year ban, Paqueta is being investigated for four…

 

I haven't been following but why is his case so much more severe than the ones involving Tonali or Toney?
