So seven from that squad will get cut.

I think if it was me, I'd probably cut Trafford, Branthwaite, Quansah, Jones, and Toney - but I'm then struggling on the remaining two.

 

Shaw because of injury and Maguire because he's ****.

 

Maguire will start - he has been good for England over the years in fairness.

 

Southgate has said Shaw is a doubt, so he will likely be one.

We'd need to cut one of Gordon, Eze, Grealish or Maddison too - I'd lean towards Gordon or Grealish. Maddison plays a little deeper so is a different option, and Eze would be better if we needed something to happen in the last 10 minutes of a game.

 

I was a bit tongue in cheeks there. Club and international form don't necessarily follow.

 

Don’t mind the squad. Would have liked to have seen Gibbs White. Always looks a cracking player for Forest

That's why Kompany never changed his style (and why Martin won't either), even though it was clearly to the detriment of Burnley's survival chances.

They never had any realistic chance of staying up by playing Kompany's style. But his stubbornness, arrogance and selfishness to not change has ensured that he's remained attractive to bigger clubs who want that style. Stuff Burnley.

McKenna rejects a new contract from Ipswich, amidst interst from Chelsea, Utd & Brighton. Again, what the ****?

This and Mckenna probably leaving are good for Saints.

If Kompany stayed Burnley would likely walk the Championship - him leaving makes them much weaker opposition should we be playing Championship football next season.

If we do beat leeds, Ipswich without Mckenna will really struggle and more than likely take up 1 of 3 relegation spots.

 

Might be a decent chance that Ipswich reach down into the Championship for their next manager too. Corberan?

 

Ipswich have as good a chance of surviving as Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Wolves, Forest.and the other two promoted teams.

 

Or do they go for someone with PL.experience. Moyes, Dyche or Potter. Ipswich might be the perfect stage for Potter.to reignite his managerial career. And will Howe survive the summer break?
