The spinner who didn't bowl spin.

Great bowler though. I know this because Dougie helped.

Underwood, took 297 wickets in 86 Tests with his distinctive brand of brisk left-arm spin and is the most successful English spinner in the longest format. Michael Atherton, Geoffrey Boycott and others paid tribute to former England left-arm spinner Derek Underwood, who passed away at the age of 78.

    Yeah, right.

Because I said a slow left arm bowler was a slow left armer. Which he was.

He's pidegeonholed holed as a 'spinner', even though he bowled more or less medium pace and used flight, change of pace, and the pitch conditions to make the ball turn more than actual flat out spin.

    But yeah, just a spinner.

You're talking to the educated, you can't tell me a single thing about cricket, nothing, but thanks for the help and that.

Yeah I remembered the name, think I probably must have known him more from Derby County (Dave Mackay) and QPR (Dave Sexton) from 1975 onwards when they were big clubs in the now Premier League (First Division then) - 1975-76 was when QPR were pipped to the title by Bill Shankly and Derby County were probably in the top six. Some memorable names from that decade.
