Alright, so what exactly puts us in a better position than them? They’re now hundreds of millions of pounds richer I’m not sure they’ll be too bothered about selling players they signed from L1 for peanuts on for millions. Even if they come down they’re still going to be loaded and in a good position to go back up.

Do other clubs look at us with envy? I’m not sure you’d find a single Ipswich fan sitting here now saying “Oh things are going really well but you know how position I’d love to be in? Sunderlands”…

…nothing. People are just desperate to believe we’re in a great position.

Yeah they are miles ahead of us.

While I do think we are in a decent position in terms of finances, stadium, facilities and we have multiple players(assets) who can be sold for high fees due to good contract management, Ipswich are in a superb position to recruit someone just as good, if not better than McKenna.

He's got to leave for his career and while he's on up. He's done very well but managing elite players in prem when things are going wrong is a different animal to riding the crest of a wave in l1 and championship

I would be disappointed in McKenna tbh. I always defend coaches, but think he should give them another year in the prem personally. Good learning for him in a friendly environment where he wont be sacked at Christmas if they are struggling. Brighton might be just past their sell by date, imo.

Maybe they were thinking of moving him on, but I am not at all convinced and somebody who might know told me it was jackanory. What I do think though is that this lad was never in a million years coming here.

Poch and Utd are made for each other imo. He could be there years and return them to the top I think.

Fishpaste reckons we could hear news over the weekend and people on here have said over this week or next. I’m assuming we will have an answer by June 1st

We are in a good position for sure but i agree we arent in a great position

Are Ipswich in a great position, who knows tbh but they've just had back to back brilliant seasons under an amazing manager

The test for them will be if he does leave how do they replace him - thatll show whether they are in a grrat place or not

Ipswich fans are quite rightly buzzing about what has happened n where they are going n not 1 fan would swap places with us

No harm, people can feel how they want about the club. I know who’s position I’d rather be in when it comes to SAFC or Ipswich, though.
