Honestly the 'no plan B' rant is such a boring one used by all fans of all teams in all sports, as if they can't come up with a proper criticism so trot it out. As Baz pointed out, for managers to have a distinct, tangible plan B that is utterly different to 'plan A' would be utterly dumb because it undermines their playing style to the players. Why would players buy into a playing style if half the time at training the manager is saying "But if that doesn't work let's try something completely different"? Clearly managers have different tweaks and adjustments they make to their style to adapt to playing conditions week by week, but this is by and large done in game, or looks a lot like Plan A but with small adjustments. Rosenior showed this throughout the season and adjusted in game numerous times to win back points. But people claim it looks too much like Plan A therefore he 'has no Plan B'. I know you were mocking these people but it just reminded me again.
I'm honestly not bothered if Wally comes or not - I'd never heard of him before we sacked Rosie so I've no idea if he'd be any good for us. It's not a potential appointment that I'm excited about. We've been promised exciting, attacking football since GM's days - so we've heard it all before.
agree, concerned he could be another Leonid Slutsky that has no experience of English football & found to be out of his depth. He may have a unique way of playing football but he’s not actually won anything in Germany with it. Either City will be top of the table or he’ll be gone by Christmas as we are bottom with 1 win.
Don’t know if it’s been said on here yet but I’ve heard Steve Cooper was offered the job for a lot of money but turned it down as he’s waiting for a Premier League job. Seems Walter isn’t necessarily first choice.
