He was superb at Renault. Pulverised Hulkenberg and brought home their first podiums since returning.

They didn’t give him a car capable of anything else

Red bull bring upgrades that look extremely marginal to possibly being the wrong direction

Ferrari and mclaren making rapid and easy gulps of improvements just morphing onto red bull like cars.

    We have convergence.

Only verstappen is keeping red bull ahead now. That's called racing.

Let's see if the maccas and prancing donkeys can compete tomorrow.

Not while the brat is in the other car,can you imagine the reaction from him if Carlos starts winning a few races.
I always think of their time together at Torro Rosso, always had something to fall out about.

Saintz to Red Bull will only end in tears.

His post quali interview was interesting. He just was doing his job. Comfortable in his skin. Often the way, you are good when you start to relax. Make better decisions. Playing to your own talents not someone else's expectations.

Good to see Ferrari losing both drivers three seconds by pitting a lap too late.

Max's rear tyres look a bit worn but I think he will hold on to 1st unfortunately. As least we have a bit of a race.

Red bull no longer best car for tyre wear.

Maccas need to believe they can now in race strategy.

Perez nowhere and going to be nowhere will now cost the red bulls the constructors

Hard to know exactly how to read that, for example despite having an anonymous weekend the Mercs were only 30 seconds behind, rather than the more typical second or so a lap across a race. Was it low tyre wear nullifying some car’s strengths, that RedBull weren’t as on it as normal, or…?

Anyhow it was refreshing to have a weekend where the outcome was in doubt for most of it, even though the race itself was pretty dull for the most part. If we keep this up Max might have to start concentrating on F1, and step away from moonlighting at sim racing!

Monaco next, which definitely throws up the probability of a different winner. Leclerc seems to have turned a corner having started the year a step behind Sainz, he seems like a solid bet for a win in his own backyard.

Yuo`ve got to be on pole or be leading after the last round of pit stops to have a good chance of winning at Monaco.
