Don't trust football insider but I can see this happening. However, he clashed with the Hull owner based on the owners comments recently based on team selections and play style so if it is him I hope he fits what we want. I'd be disappointed but there's definitely worse appointments.
Saying the club had no plan while saying they were turned down by coaches is a contradiction, no plan would be no interviews or recruitment at all. Whether the plan is successful or not is another conversation for a future date. An unsuccessful plan does not mean there was no plan.
I’d agree with this. I think Resenior comes across well and his teams do have an identity (whether it’s the one you want or not is a different question) but you’d have to ask if Hull think they can do better then I would say so should we. Wouldn’t be as disappointed as Beale but be canny underwhelmed if I’m honest. Don’t think it’ll be him but who knows, hardly anyone getting seriously linked.
I agree..however they havent followed through with the plan because the model didnt allow it..so no plan..and have settled with an easy and a yes man..that was my point...
Remember when they said it was imminent and that we’d be very happy with it. Imagine if it’s Rosenior after all that, then it’s time to ask serious questions on what we as fans class as a very happy appointment…
Rosenior is far from a poor choice in my opinion. That said, if it were to be him I would take some convincing we havent been rejected by at least 2 preferred candidates. Like I have said before, I am worried good coaches take one look and say no thanks. We may well have created a rod for our backs.
Be another British manager that’s coming off a sacking. Would like to see us try something different, other championship clubs in recent years have found success from coaches based abroad. As a supporter of the model, would give me big doubts if we can’t get managers we want, to buy into it. I don’t want the main man having full control, but for good coaches I think we need to offer some flexibility
I'd be ****ing gutted with Rosenior like. Hull played some of the most boring football last season, and missing out on the playoffs with THAT squad at his disposal is criminal.
Not really, let's say they've already interviewed potential appointments and aren't fully satisfied with the options, or Rosenior could simply trump what they were previously favouring.
They know the character and personality of the coach they want to fit into a structure to develop the team...not manage it..not recruite for it...same mould as Mowbray and Beale...
Now that I agree with and is my biggest issue with Speakman. He just shows no conviction in his decision making.
