Cracking game and a brilliant atmosphere last night. Just felt like one of those games we were never in control of, but Watson's late goal and 5 excellent penalties later and it's happy days. Very impressed by Caden Kelly last night - never stopped running and looked a constant threat going forward
How did Riggy do last night?, tremendous result for these lads, they never know when they're beaten, first team was the same last season.
Proper rollercoaster ride reading through the match posts, they never know when they're beaten do they these lads.
This is why there’s a reason to keep Speakman. Only good will come out of the academy strength. We just need an added perspective on the first team decision making.
Was fairly quiet last night , got booked and gave away a few silly fouls. Eventually took off with what looked like a minor knock . The West Ham team had a very good centre midfield especially a young Irish lad named Kelly who ran the show . According to a lad OTR , we almost signed him until West Ham blew us out of the water .
He was quiet to be honest. Probably playing within himself, but was solid on the ball and a few vital interceptions. Ellis Taylor has a gob on him like - he and Richardson were going hammer and tong after West Ham's first goal
I feel like some of these lads, such as Caden and Ellis, may have been told there is a contract extension waiting for them at the end of the season if they prove themselves worthy, hence this never say die attitude in recent games.
Taylor clearly isn’t making it here. He would’ve had a chance in the first team this season if so. 21 y/o now, he should be looking elsewhere imo.
I trust the club to make the right decision, sometimes the right decision isn't as obvious as player x is going to play in the the first team, 95% of Man Cities under 21 team should be released under that guise.
U17 Euros starts next week, think he's in the squad for that. Englands first game is Tuesday 21st v France
