City: Ederson; Akanji, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol; Rodri, Kovacic; Foden, De Bruyne, Silva; Haaland. Subs: Ortega, Walker, Lewis, Stones, Gomez, Nunes, Doku, Bobb, Alvarez. League form: WWWWWW. Ref: Chris Kavanagh. VAR: Michael Salisbury. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
Not a good time to face Man City when they are hunting the title. I know we have done well against them since moving into our new stadium but I don’t think we’ll have the wherewithal to beat them at present. But if we play VDV, Dragusin, Romero and Porro, we could make life difficult for them providing our midfield is strong. I would hope to see 3 midfielders rather than 2. A 4-3-3 please with Son and Kule on the wings. Just play Scarlett upfront as he can’t be any worst than Son upfront.
Vic Porro Romero Dragusin VdV Sarr Bentancur GLC Johnson Scarlett Son I think they’ll have too much for us anyway.
In what way? We have to line up to try and beat them, regardless of tonight's result. Cannot rely on beating Sheffield, for those that recall the game v Newcastle when second place was there for the taking.
Played a lot of games of late, need to rotate a bit. Austin Emerson, Dragusin, Dorrington, Skipp Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Donley Gil, Scarlett, Moore
My Eyes have seen the glory of the cups at White Hart Lane, My Eyes have seen the glory of the cups at White Hart Lane, My Eyes have seen the glory of the cups at White Hart Lane, And the Spurs go marching on! Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur, Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur, Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur and the Spurs go marching on! COYS! Do it for your neighbours! Help bring that Premier League trophy to north London for the first time in 20 years. It's been so long since it's been around these parts, and if you help us bring it home, we'll give you an honourable mention I don't ask you for much lads, but I hope you can do us this one favour. I believe in you Up the Spurs!
Dorrington and Donley both went off with injuries yesterday, unfortunately. Hopefully they'll be ok for their cup final on Thursday.
I think Donley might have been a precaution, he seemed pretty fine when celebrating the penalty win. Dorrington will just have to man up. As long as he can walk he’s good to go.
You're not our neighbours. You're squatters from Woolwich. The feminists with big hats have gone now. You can **** right back off again.
We're the closest top-flight team to you in terms of location and it's been that way for a long time, like it or not. Anyway, not going to argue with you. Call us what you want, just get a positive result tomorrow. And who knows, if Villa lose to Liverpool tonight, there could be a potential opening for you to get back into the Champions League
We're also the closest PL team to Norwich. They're not from North London, either. I'll be very surprised if Villa don't lose to Liverpool. They've done very well this season, but they're knackered. Loads of injuries and they haven't been the same team since Kamara got crocked. Liverpool have absolutely nothing to play for, though. I didn't really consider that in my predictions.
1. Shouldn't your energy be focused on the Poool board begging them not to lose to Villa ?? 2. I deem losing to Citeh tomorrow by only one goal as a very "positive result" .
No, because I'm expecting them to win. Aston Villa look exhausted and they've had a very taxing week. Injuries plus this being their first European campaign in 15 odd years is clearly having an effect on their end of season performances. Their record against Liverpool is also absolutely abysmal. In the past 10 years, they've played Liverpool 16 times in all competitions. They've won 4, drawn 1 and lost 11. This includes 6 losses and 1 draw in their last 7 meetings. I don't see that changing tonight. Let me clarify - by "positive result", I mean avoiding defeat. And hey, if you could somehow snatch an unexpected victory, I would be eternally grateful to you.
Anyone else catch Ange's presser this afternoon? Where the living **** do they dig up these 'journos' to ask the questions? Ridiculous question to start about Spurs fans wanting us to lose and by doing so polluting the atmosphere in the stadium tomorrow...batted away by Ange, only for the 3rd idiot to ask the self-same question and expect to get a different answer!; I know there are no great expectations about journalistic quality these days - even when they are honest - but FFS! I think I missed my vocation in life!
Press conference: They've been terrible all season. Just stupid, intentionally annoying questions, over and over. I can't be bothered to sit through them any more.
This is the horrendous situation that we could all see happening weeks ago. I really don’t know what to want in this game. taking points off city so Arsenal win the league is the nightmare scenario. I have bet on us to get a draw or win as it’s the most Spursy thing to do. I can see us winning this, Arsenal winning the league and us blowing 4th by losing to Sheffield United the last game of the season.
Pick our best team play our usual game and City will cut us to shreds, can see us scoring a couple but conceding more, should be entertaining for the neutrals.
