Depends on what you view as chance. He's played a total of 367 minutes for us spread over 13 games, maybe rightly so, I don't know. But that's not what I view as a chance.
well i do agree that any new manager should assess him in pre season as he still has a year on his contract maybe we will all say what a good signing it was afterall
Yep. It's daft to pretend that only games count as a chance. Managers see them every day and LR was consistent in having absolutely no time for Sinik based on what he saw. Dawson/Stockdale when in caretaker charge likewise. Around that time we were playing 5 centre mids including Docherty on the wing, ahead of playing Sinik. It's a lovely soundbite to say yeah we'll give him another chance in pre season and see how it goes, but that's leaving it a bit late to decide what our squad should look like. We need to know what we're doing with our existing players, and ideally starting to add to them with new recruits, before pre-season.
It was mentioned yesterday by acun I think that kompany wanted sinik before he signed zahoury. Vinnie knows a winger when he sees one, meanwhile not 606 posters are writing him off
As I said he’s a complete unknown. He was injured whilst Shota was here and Rosey clearly had some sort of problem with him. It was very strange how his situation was all shrouded in mystery with nobody knowing what was up with him, then all of a sudden he pops up in the team, plays a fantastic 30 minute cameo, then he’s gone again and not seen since. He clearly has some qualities as a footballer so let’s see if a clean slate gives him a platform to produce.
I thought Sinik just didn't like being being here, Hull, UK whatever. Went straight back to Turkey to recover after his last injury iirc.
we signed him two years ago winter 2022, he was meant to be extremely home sick but now suddenly rosie gave him no chance?
There was a lot more than that, remember last summer he made a point of showing he’s ready to train then he got left out of the squad to go on the preseason trip to Turkey. Think he even played with the u21’s once or twice.
If you search for mentions of Sinik on this forum you see a few MOTM posts he’s in and a lot of posts about him being out injured. The latter far outweigh the former. Maybe that we haven’t been able to see enough of him to judge his talent properly actually says a lot more about his viability as a player?
Yeah, but we can’t really sell everyone and replace them in one window. Longman’s probably off to Millwall permanently, Allahyar’s already gone, Vaughan’s struggled with the physicality in general and been poor on loan so our winger options going into next season before any signings are Philogene (who might go), Lokilo and Sinik. Ömür can play on the right but if Walter does become coach and he sets up like he has done for Hamburg, he’ll probably play Ömür in one of the free roaming number 8 positions in a similar role to what that Bénes plays for Hamburg. I wouldn’t even write off Lokilo yet either. Walter or whoever might come in and certain outcast players may find their feet and thrive under the new coach.
Practice what you preach you condescending ****. I’d have been looking at Play-offs with LR, Anything less wouldn’t be progress. A change must deliver more. Anything less will be deemed a step backwards.
i think lokilo could be a good player for walter, yes hes not technically gifted, but hes very energetic, he can run all day craig ***an ish
