What if he's not sold? Or goes for a smaller-than-hoped-for fee? Just asking. I don't want to lose Salter at all but someone may have to go, surely?
I dont see why anyone has to go. We have been working within budget and those that are being released will create some wage leeway.
We'll be selling whoever we get decent bids for if the board have learned their lessons. Keeping hold of players who have re-sale value is exactly why we were in danger of breaching FFP for the last couple of years. IF Eze gets sold then it would give us some leeway
I think when it comes down to Olise or Eze it will be either/or rather than both. With rumours they would rather sell defender Guehi than either of them. So no guarantees of an Eze sale at all (though if I was him I’d jump at the opportunity to be in a champions league club over staying at Palace).
I think I read somewhere that since 1st Jan, his ppg was 1.8. That's playoffs. I do appreciate plenty of future unknown variables.
I probably think this every year but expect the teams coming down won’t be as strong as those going up especially if massive massive Leeds go up. Inevitably Burnley will get 98 points and I’ll be proved wrong but I don’t think Sheff U will be that great and Luton will lose some of the better players.
I literally said we've missed the 'sell' window too many times and can't be too choosy if the right bid comes in. Merely from a playing point of view it would be a shame to lose JCS.
He’s exactly the sort of player you should sell. Nearly 27, injury-prone with the exception of most of this season and coming off the back of good form with two years on his contract. Obviously someone has to make a reasonable bid but it would just be repeating the old mistakes to keep him in some mad promotion gamble.
4th? I didn't realise it was as high as that, thought it was upper mid-table ish. I can't see Marti leaving us yet but maybe only promotion would mean we keep him beyond next season. I feel like the massive overhaul of the squad is going to make us a bit of an unknown quantity. With 10(?) Players out of contract, two loanees and potential sales we're going to look a fair bit different next season.
This is last 15 games, we're better than we think we are... https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:championship/form/matches:15/type:home-and-away/
