Don’t remember that happening - sounds like kind of thing you joke about post match in jest but I’ll have to take your word for it that he was being serious.

Again not sure his enough is enough is selfish? If he did it cos spurs is having poor season then was doing it for his team rather than for himself - or maybe he was genuinely concerned about going back and playing football because he had people around him that were vurlnarable and he didn’t wanna put them in danger? Again, not sure how saying season should end is selfish?

It's certainly a more amusing way to look at the situation

So it’s Kane’s fault that Bayern spent money on him? You realise they also signed Kim for Cb for 50m who has been poor. Is that Kane's fault?

I’m guessing he prob told TT to stop coaching the defence during training and to focus on how the team can get him more goals right?

    Stupid argument imo

Trying to claim a goal that wasn't his and swearing on his daughter's life it brushed his head? Oh he definitely did that, though I don't remember the game. I don't recall the pandemic quote.
As for going to Bayern - it depends on one's priorities. Perhaps he feels winning a major trophy or three is more important than breaking records at a club that hardly ever gets near one.
I'm not claiming to know what he's thinking, btw - just pointing out that there are different ways of looking at things.

You've decided that he's not selfish and it appears that you're excusing the times when he has actually been selfish, like going to appeal to take Eriksen's goal from him, so as I said, we'll agree to disagree.

Just don’t see him as a selfish player. to be honest not even sure in what context saying he is?

He creates numerous chances for others, delph g deep to set up players - would suggest he’s not selfish just waiting around for others to set him up.

And as an overall person, don’t know him well enough but if he’s a selfish person I’d have thought individual things mean more to him than team awards - if that was the case he’d stay at spurs and break individual goal records rather than going to a team capable of winning team trophies.

It's far more fun to consider him a total ass.

If bayern won something then it'd be it's only bayern. Thst medal isn't worth a thing.

The fact he hasn't won one is even more hilarious.

Bayern have just gone all spursy btw.

So it's full on laugh at saint Harry.

The biggest single thing about Saint Harry is how favoured he has been by refs and the media in England.

Good as individual scoring records might be, surely winning league titles and the CL (which is far more likely at Bayern than Spurs) is something you'd aspire to before you're past it?
City would have been the best move for him, but it didn't happen.

First time since 2012 that Bayern have ended a season with no trophies. Kane adds to his individual awards though.

That’s the point I’m making? Winning team awards at Bayern is surely less selfish than staying to win individual awards at spurs for just scoring more goals? Just so happens Bayern aren’t winning anything this year but even so, not sure how moving to Bayern is the selfish option

I'm not sure I follow your logic. He was obviously moving to a team to try and win some trophies for himself. He picked a team that anyone would have bet on to win at least one. Unless you think that he was going there purely unselfishly to help them win a trophy?

Harry Kane should next move to Scotland and play half a year at Celtic and half a year at Rangers.

If neither club win a cup we know he's cursed.

So moving to a team to win team
trophies is a selfish act? If that’s the criteria then fine he’s a selfish player. Along with every other footballer on the planet.

As unlucky as he may have been, especially at Bayern, Kane ultimately only has himself to blame.

He signed a 6 year contract at Spurs, clearly under the impression that Spurs would be competing in the latter stages of competitions for years to come after 2019. Then by the time things were going wrong at Spurs he was stuck in a long contract.

By the time Spurs were backed into a position of selling him, City was off the table, Utd and Chelsea weren't in a position to fulfill his ambition even if Spurs would let him go there, Real were waiting for MBappe and no one else he was interested in but Bayern could afford him - and they themselves were in a bit of a decline prior to him joining.

Ask yourself, was he moving to the most successful team in Germany to help them win another trophy or was he doing it to finally win a trophy himself?

He's got more individual awards than most players will ever get. His grossly selfish act of appealing to, whichever panel it is that deals with these things, in order to take a goal away from his teammate to add to his own tally, tells you all you need to know.

If someone can put forward a good case, I'm open, on most occasions, to changing my mind. This isn't one of them. Same for you, I guess.

If that were the sole criterion then I'd agree with you, more or less. But I think that was just one of the things that led JB to what was more a character assessment than a pure footballing analysis.
Stealing Eriksen's goal was a pretty shabby act, tbf. I can't believe you don't remember that - it was big at the time and sparked a meme where Kane claimed credit to all sorts of things, many entirely unrelated to football.
