Top six at Christmas. Heavily backed in the window with some quality additions but ultimately failed with lack of points and drab performances. If the manager had been Grant McCann under these circumstances the fans would have been baying for blood.

15 applications for the managers job already.

So who's going to own up then?

I think it’s the lengths Acun has talked about the style of play that puts the pressure on unnecessarily. By talking about jumping up and down on his seat and recreating the Ipswich performance paints a very clear picture of what is expected. Fans can now legitimately ask if a drab 1-0 home win is acceptable…expectations are now much higher.

Respectfully I would bat an eyelid for a manager that has turned us from relegation candidates to playoff candidates in a short space of time. You talk of dismal performances prior to the window. I would point to the fact we were 6th at end of December and prior to Jaden being injured we didn't look all that bad.

I hope you can realise how ****ing silly it would be to blindly trust one man that for his benefits is a PR machine. He's very good at getting the narrative he would want out. Not to say by any stretch I wont support him and the club but its fair to raise concern

    I wouldn’t.

Seasons have ups and downs. If you’d have told me at the start of the season and after January we’d still be in the play off race in game 46 id have been delighted.

Explained that KLP said to Acun that there's no chance that City will go up. Acun said to his agent "take your boy and go". Seems that Acun wasn't best pleased with his manner. Disappointing that Acun felt the need to bring that up IMO. Also commented that KLP hasn't played many games so "he won"

Good points... about the right time....and getting the transfer targets in a row. Plus preseason.
Not sure I agree about the reference to Mr Allam....My club etc..etc....Acun said he respects other opinions on several occasions during the chat... I'm not sure if Mr. Allam Senior ever said those words.. Most sincere apologies to him if he did. Not that it matters now.

I’m pretty sure that Acun and if Tan regularly try and follow this forum to glean the mood of the fans Mood read opinion on the football , and as mentioned before the pile on when we were crap was way stronger than when we were good . Also negative shouts were always more vociferous therefore sewing the seeds of unhappy fans in his eyes . So if he drew his opinion from watching and reading this forum our end of season failure just cemented his need to make this decision . I hope he isn’t as knee jerk as he might appear at times .

I wonder how many times Acun was sat in the ground and wished he’d stayed at home?

Not as delighted as you would have been if at the start of the season you’d been told that we would piss the league and go up in an automatic spot.
Acun doesn’t want playoffs. He wants promotion.

Weird thing to bring up your right, but then again I haven't heard the context in the interview.

Think I'd side with Acun on that though as if you aren't fully on board then you should be somewhere else.

It was in direct response to a question as to whether he would have to sell Greaves and /or Philogene.
He said he wouldn’t sell any player that he didn’t want to. He wanted to keep KLP. But he won’t force any player to stay if they don’t want to be here.

it might be a language thing but I thought he said it was KLPs agent who said City had no chance

I just listened to that part back and I could be wrong but I think he means the agent spoke to him that way, not KLP. He says "I said to him, I want Potter to stay because we will fight for the playoffs" and the agent said something along the lines of we've got no chance and Acun ended the conversation and said he can leave if he wants. He also said with a better manager (I think he meant agent), who wasnt bothered so much about money, KLP maybe stayed.

At least thats how I understood it.

No, I’d have told you that’s unlikely.

Yes, Ipswich did it - but they had one of the best 2 starts in the second tier ever. The other was Leicester. It was a freak season.

Although not relevant to LR going I don’t blame Ajun here as his agent sounds like an arrogant and disrespectful tosser. Agent clearly wanted his cut.
