This. Don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that Dodds remains here in the summer. Still will have higher demands than Beale / Mowbray. If KLD wants his man, then some things may just have to give.
"****ing ridiculous decision if this is true. It was only 18 months ago that Rosenior took over and we were in the middle of a relegation battle. This is reminiscent of when the Allams sacked Nick Barmby when we finished 8th in 11/12. Only the Allams hired Steve Bruce who got us promoted to the PL in his first season. Acun has really put his relationship with the fans on the line here. If his new manager doesn’t hit the ground running and develop a strong relationship with the supporters from the off he’s going to be under serious pressure. A line has been drawn in the sand and if he won’t tolerate anything less than promotion from a club favourite then why should we give any such slack to his man? There was a clear forward trajectory under Rosenior and if the new manager doesn’t continue that it could get ugly." One of many posts I've seen from Hull fans about the decision to sack Roseinor, a lot of them seem to suggest he improved the players that were already there ten fold, particularly the young players.
Exactly, if we are of the understanding it is Still or Maric there's no need for a delay. Still is now not employed and Marics temporary contract ends at the end of the season so he's able to talk to other vlubs anyway. I think someone is just having a guess as it's a bit of a coincidence that 3 weeks time is when contract will end. This would only be the case if we are looking at someone who is still under contract for at least another year. I believe it will be Still or Maric so this doesn't apply
Exactly, no point him wasting time doing it next summer when he'll need all his time preparing for the PL. That's what I like a new coach with so much confidence he'll get us promoted at the first time of asking he's doing his badges now in readiness
Maybe the club are waiting for the retained list to be released and the season to finish so Still isn't associated at all with this season and is seen as a fresh new start going into the summer/next season. With this regime they always take 3 or 4 weeks off to totally recharge/reset. Usually nothing at all happens in June at the club. Maybe they'll announce Still joining last weekend in May, release his interviews etc then have there normal planned break? Or Bruce Springsteen might announce him for ****s and giggles on the 22nd
I reckon they’ll go for someone Turkish. Sure they were linked with Emre (little twat who played for the mags) last summer wouldn’t be surprised if it’s someone like him.
I like him. They did fade at a crucial time and did spend some money that’s right but tbh I think Catvalho is talented but not as good as some rate him. There were also relatively unknown players who did very well.
They also loaned zaroury, giles, delap and morton for the second half of the season all good players who’ve proven themselves at this level barring maybe delap who looks raw still. Along with Seri, Philogene, Greaves and Tufan (all of whom walk into our Xl) that’s a very good team. Sure they even sent a few players back to their parent clubs so they could loan a few more in January. To not get a play offs was a failure for that squad IMO.
Annoys me when so-called journos use bookmaker's odds to suggest there is ANY intel on what managers are going where. When will people learn?
Shows the type of journo Copely is. Horrific. But I don't think SAFC has any decent journalists covering them. The country lacks good journalism tbh.
The thing is that the club follow social media closely and may have told Dodds to follow him after the out cry over him following Maric. Not too much to read into either move.
Dodds must just follow everyone we’re linked with to try and get a place in their back room staff haha
Copley is ok, he's a decent lad but I don't think he's the best journalist out there. Some of Phil Smith's stuff is very good and used to like James Hunter's articles.
