But, it’s got us climbing the league.

I feel for Rosenior but if it’s a big name lined up, signs are pointing to the fact that we aren’t ****ing about next season.

With the loan signings gone and the likely sale of Greaves and Philogene, we will literally have to recruit an entire squad along with the new manager, next season could be a disaster if the next couple couple months don’t go well.

Very surprised at this and have mixed feelings. I did have a hunch a few months ago that Acun went **** or bust this January and failure to make top 6 would mean Rosenior’s job was at risk but I genuinely thought the last 5-6 games before Plymouth earned him a reprieve.

Just like Birmingham weren't ****ing about this season.

But as they found out, it's not that simple, you can't just hire a big name and ambition your way to success.

That could have been the case even with LR.

We're about to find out whether the loanees really did come because of LR or not.

Like someone at the club thought it was a good idea to put Woods on a three year deal on £15k a week.

We don't know who's coming in though, if it was Rooney then fair point as every man and his dog knew it was a shocking decision at the time. Say its Potter or Cooper, would you not be happy with that appointment?

Atan's club is about to be bought by Man City, they are in last stage of negotiations and they expect a huge investment, moreover if Atan is on the market, Besiktas would jump on him, he can't say no to that. Emre is free though and very close to Acun. That's reasonable.

Hmm. I think Plymouth might actually have been the push over the cliff, because as long as those performances are there in the background, potentially lurking, his job under an owner demanding entertainment was always going to be difficult.

Wish my mate would text me back <laugh>.

I think this is a fair point, watching Acun's video in Turkish, subtitled in English, he mentioned McVitie's contribution in getting the Philogene deal done. I suspect
McVities owner has a fair sway in what happens.

If the justification is that January's business made it **** or bust for Rosenior, then I don't think that's a very good one at all. Giving him a new 3-year deal and then a month later backing him with funds with the condition that if he doesn't achieve major short-term success as a result then he's gone, seemingly without even telling him of that condition, well that's just shambolic.

Yes but Rooney wasn’t a big name manager, he was a big name footballer who hadn’t really done much as a manager.

You’re right, it doesn’t always work out well, a more apt analogy might have been Stoke, who just can’t seem to do anything right at the moment.

It’s a ****, short sighted disloyal decision which makes his “one family, one dream” mantra appear without substance & words only.

We had the best man in place already.

The continuity has gone. Loans that may have returned, now won’t. Players already here will feel let down. We’ll need to dismantle & rebuild.

He’ll have recruited more than one manager by this time next season.

It was probably the 8 games before ut when we were total dog ****e, he only appeared to let them loose as a desperate measure, we should have finished in the top 6 without a doubt.

He has quite a lot of say, Acun and him are very close.
