I'm in total shock, never saw that coming. I guess it remains to be seen whether it was the right decision or not. Acun must have a replacement already set up, I have to say I am extremely sorry for Liam, I hope he goes on to prove Acun made the wrong decision, by being a success wherever he goes.
It was obvious we went balls deep. Anyone saying it was not a promotion chasing transfer window needs their head checking. He did it to himself not having a plan B. Acun isn't pumping cash in for a laugh.
There must be an absolute top manager coming in because that’s the only thing that justifies this and even then it’s questionable
Cooper was apparently keen on Birmingham if they stayed up. Them going down might have changed things and Acun snapped him up?
You’re right, it does feel like we’ve gone backward a bit, but then you mention a gamble. A new manager will want to sign their own players, to fit their style. To do that mid season is a huge gamble. We saw it twice with Rosey and Shota. We also have to bear in mind that our good friend behind the scenes, our very wealthy, biscuit giving friend might have had some say in this. I imagine his expectations with regards to putting money in will rest on being in the Premier League.
Not suprised. Acun is very emotional at the moment due to circumstances around Fenerbahce, I wouldn't expect a sane decision. I would name this thread as: When Brits met TR style management. Ah wait, Brits had BJo too.
If it was always a possibility then Acun has not delayed. Change the manager early let him set out his stall and identify his targets early. Football is cut throat without a doubt.
