made me laugh anyway Here's the annual LFW note of caution. QPR are like an errant child. You think you’ve got them settled, they’ve gone quiet and calm for ten minutes, then you walk back into the room and the police are there. What happened? Tried to shoot the chairman. Hit someone in the bus queue with a rock. Where’s Jude gone? He’s been naughty with one of the other mummies. Who’s that? It’s Julio Cesar. Where did he come from? Uncle Tony got him for me. Did he.
It’s great to read, in his report (and amongst the 606’ers here), an air of long due positive hope and belief for next season. With what we have seen, heard and observed of this management team, squad and support staff there is a complete u-turn of this club right now and with a little luck (Eze move? Good signings) and more importantly a strong due diligence in the running of the club, the squad and our youth programme we can look forwards positively for the first time in a long time. Of course lots could go wrong too but you (well I) don’t feel that is the case for the next 12 months. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a good player or two leave; I won’t be surprised to see some options/new contracts happen. I’m sure we’ll see a surprise or two as well - negative and/or positive - it can’t all be roses after all. The big interest for us all will be to see what we do with the striker situation. What we do about our keeper situation. And, what ‘upgrades’ come along. It really is all an unknown quantity as we haven’t seen the Cifuentes strategy and approach to such a full team review and replacement policy. Interesting times, very interesting summer ahead.
