I nearly bumped into 2 mags in Tesco's after the match they would have copped it the cheeky twats if i had been been myself
Got what I expected to be honest. Our players have been on the beach for a long time now. Bannons pass for the first was sublime and their fans were decent as I expected. Maybe being silly here but to me the players have been protesting since we lost Mowbray. Its not possible to go from playing our best football for about 25 years under Reidy to not giving a flying one about SAFC for no reason.
Not silly. Dont think it was a case of protesting. They had no man management or experience to look up to is my thinking. Mowbray is well known for his ability to get under the skin of individuals and getting them playing at the top of their games. I just think we saw too many young lads, or lads who need a bit of individual love, not getting the guidance or kick up the arse they needed anymore.
Over 30, get him off the wage bill at all costs. That's what Speakman does. There'll be some French teenager at Le Baguette C team he'll have his eye on to replace him. If Speakman's not here we might see him again.
Update Found the Grandson had an assessor watching him yesterday, he had a really good game, no dramas, in fact it was a good game, the assessor told him after the match that he was putting him forward for promotion to Level 6 which is brilliant for a lad who was 17 only last week. A very proud Grandad.
Apparently he's not particularly bothered as long as he gets good coin - that's what one of the lads I know told me yesterday. He used to get titbits from the likes of Gooch and Pritchard so no reason to doubt him
It actually gives me hope for our own team. It shows hows quickly things can change in football. Birmingham were 6th with Eustace, brought in big name Rooney, fell like a stone and have now been relegated after Eustace pulled off a massive win away at the best team in the league. They talk the big talk with promises of fearless football and the PL. Now they'll have a local derbies against Burton Albion and Mansfield ... ... one 'derby' they won't be having is Derby County who were recently on the verge of going out of business altogether
The more I read those quotes from Dodds about Bishop, the more it feels like a dig at Patterson. Trouble ahead methinks...
Looks like the 3 that went up last season are the 3 coming back down, but all of them come back down with stronger squads and millions in the bank from what they had last year. I dont understand why some of our fans dont want promotion yet. What do we have to lose other than getting a financial windfall. Id rather see us lose most weeks in the Prem than the shyte ive seen this season from us. No doubt at least one of them will go straight back up aswell and earn another windfall from the squad theyve been able to build.
I see Bannan has been mocking Birmingham on social media. What a horrible little kunt he is, id love to see someone snap his legs.
Poor performance again, would’ve relegated Wednesday if we had anyone capable of taking chances (I counted 4 clear cut chances that should be scored for us!) why the **** Patto wasn’t playing is way beyond me. Every game this season, and that prick drops him. But, I’m actually glad Wednesday stayed up. Proper club, proper fans. Now give us your gaffer!!
We've had to watch 22 losses this year. Luton and Burnley have each lost --- 22. As you say we might as well lose them in Premier at least trying to play some entertaining stuff, seeing the quality players of teams, and pocketing some cash
Yeah exactly mate, beats stuttering along in the second tier whilst small clubs like Burnley and Luton are reaping the financial rewards and now Ipswich
