I must be wrong because I thought Seri was one of the worst out there today. Kept the ball nicely but was a very large part of the reason we barely attacked with any pace or gusto. Chose to keep things safe probably 90% of the time he had the ball and I don't recall him turning with it more than once or twice.
Seri never wasted a pass or gave the ball away once. If all the players had the same stats every week we'd be top of the league, ten points clear.
The away Tiger Army Acun Allsop Disappointing game Better than expected season Let's see what next season brings when it starts or argue / worry / go with the flow through the summer...
I was there. Just got back to Stafford to pick the dog up, He was creating a lot 2nd half. I’d have kept him on, it went super flat when he was taken off. We all see it different.
Yes he did. He did it in our own penalty area in one instance and luckily one of our players bailed him out straight after he gave it to a Plymouth player. Generally he did keep the ball well today, but that's easy to do when you relentlessly pass it sideways and backwards, short distances and slowly. There are times when we need him to slow things down and keep things composed and then other times where we need him to try and play someone through or pass it to feet forwards, or into space quickly etc... Very little of that happened today and it just seemed overly casual. Nowhere near a top 3 spot for me as a result - not on this occasion.
So a 99% succesful pass rate over 90 mins? I'd take another 10 players in our team with similar stats every day of the week. Be like watching Manchester City.
We sort of did. It was a lot of Greaves, Jones, Allsop and Seri etc marginally over the half way line.
