This will be a tricky game. Bournemouth are in very good form & gone under the radar with their results. They've apparently picked up more points than Spurs since November. I know everyone's looking at the United game at OT as a defining one, but we can't overlook this fixture - it's still huge.

    3-0. FT.

I think the scoreline flatters us a bit, but Iraola came out and admitted we deserved to win the game irrespective of those contentious decisions. And I agree with him.

Christie's challenge on Saka was a disgrace, though, and he should have been off. The fact he didn't even get a card for that was an abomination.
The penalty for me was extremely soft and I think Raya is quite fortunate VAR agreed with the ref to award him a foul in that situation. He needed to be more aggressive there.

But the main thing is we put in a professional performance and got a deserved 3 points in a must-win game.

Saliba was absolutely tremendous sweeping up and showing great recovery pace in certain situations. He was our most composed and calm defender today. I also thought Tomiyasu locked that left hand side down very well.

Rice, Odegaard and Partey all put in industrious shifts and kept play ticking over well in the middle.

Thought Havertz was superb again in that false 9 role. Even aside from the crucial penalty he won for the opening goal, he won duels, won fouls, carried the ball well, made some superb runs to get in behind and stretch the Bournemouth defence, and battled well to occupy Bournemouth's CBs. I have to give him credit because his form has done a complete 360 since 2024. He's been an incredibly influential player. Long may it continue!

Onto Old Trafford now - our sternest test left...
