I’m not saying he should be sacked. 90 points in most years gets you promoted and I can’t argue with the Leeds fan on Twitter who said that doesn’t matter if the points total needs to be higher, specially as we should have got enough points from our run in. But, I don’t think we have the best squad in this league, which is why he doesn’t rotate often, neither did Bielsa. But no you can’t change it around completely, you want him gone so I want a name that you think should replace him.
Considering the start of the season he has done really good. But when you get yourself to the top of the league and then collapse, it is a failure. So strangly enough his sucsses could be his downfall in a way. Still I think I would give him one more season
maybe the players know they aren't good enough for the prem, and at least they still have a job if they don't go up
Fat Frank pulled a surprise, he couldn’t pull his own knob, his uncle Harry sorted the tactics out for him, the cockanee wsnker.
watched intensely without comment praying for the win getting more and more pissed off, ah well there is always the play-offs for him to get it right
Let’s stop blaming the manager for everything as far as I’m concerned the players played like a bunch of pansies frightened of their own shadows can’t say I fancy the prem with these players Just to see us getting beat week after week
Football can be such a psychological game. Many of your players are anxious and low on confidence. I think Farke has a really tough job ahead of him to galvanize your squad for the playoffs. Don’t really think Norwich are all that good, but a possible Southampton final is daunting. Remember - before Forest won it a few years back, they also had an awful playoff record. Only takes once to break the pattern. I wish you the best of luck for the playoffs.
Brief thoughts before heading to the pub. Awful game and performance. This team is not going to win any playoffs and we have virtually no player good enough to play in pl anyway. Possible exceptions being ampadu and Archie. So it’s a big rebuild ahead in the summer. On a brighter note spent a very pleasant twenty minutes with our Heidi. Great to hear her thoughts before the game
On a positive note, we won’t be facing teams containing individual strikers worth more than our entire squad. nope, does not work for me either.
We've been at much lower lows a few years ago. I'm looking forward to the play offs. This poor form can't go on forever.
I didn't see the game as I had a prior engagement. I'm not surprised at the result at all. I've read through the comments and it seems like it was as bad as I feared. I cannot see us beating any team in the play offs. I'm absolutely gutted that we aren't going up but it is what it is. We have bottled it so.unbelievably badly it's astounding. Of course the players are the ones on the pitch but the management team need to show the fans that they're sorting it out. I can't see it. Roll on next season.
Just watched the extended highlights. It was even worse than I expected. We didn't have a defence and the few set pieces we got in decent areas were wasted. It looked like the players got punchy or played dead near the end which doesn't bode well. Wish I hadn't bothered watching it.
We'll go unbeaten in the playoffs, draw-draw and out on penalties. It's the Wagner way Revenge for the League Cup shootout in 2016
At one stage this season, we could have had Anthony, Gnonto, Bamford and Gruev on the bench with James, Piroe, Summerville, Kamara all starting. He shipped out our RBs, he’s ignored Cresswell, it was all great until we hit the slump and he seems unable of how to turn it around. We went all out to sign Darlow at the start of the season, he’s an experienced enough coach at this level to know what a slog the Championship is. My fear now is Norwich knocking us out over two legs and taking this form into next season with the better players departing. I read before the Southampton game that we’d spent an entire day practicing corners, Ampadu and Rodon being the targets. We’ve been crap all season at set pieces and it was being addressed before the final league game. No doubt we’ve practiced it at other times this season (you’d like to think so) but it’s obviously not working. My issue is this is the season we had an abundance of talent. With that pool of players, should Farke have done better. If no fine, but I believe he should have done. Impossible to do I know, but I’d love to have seen our finishing position with any of the other top 6 coaches in charge. I might have been able to accept 90 points as being great had we been playing good football but we haven’t for quite some time.
Just goes to prove you can practice all you like but if the players aren’t good enough then no amount of practice will improve enough. I’ll repeat myself by saying none of our players can kick a ball. They simply can’t whether it’s a free a corner or shot from play. They can’t do it. I question how some modern day footballers get a living from the game
We seriously need to beef up in midfield. I am flabbergasted that Farke hasn't moved Ampadu back in midfield, and bought in either Cresswell or Cooper. Alas, it is now too late. Bringing either player in from the cold to too much of a risk in the play offs.
