i was reading that leeds have to pay 70m on transfers the owe in the summer if that's true the could be well in the **** if the don't go up
Got to say I was completely wrong about ipswich as I thought it would be too much for them to achieve. Eating humble pie as I also thought they were very ordinary against us both games and were certainly lucky in the first game of the season. Fair play to them and hoping they do go up which looks like they're gonna do it
Mate who supports them reckons it will be a firesale this summer without promotion. 4 or 5 big players have to go. He also says they are playing rubbish as well and he isnt a fan at all of the coach. I wouldnt fancy them in the olay offs personally.
I'm not sure about that 4.7 mil over 2 seasons I think that's just the most recent 1 but it's still not much at all and they deserve loads of credit. Been an entertaining watch all throughout the season never wavered on their approach.
Yes Pat. But these shrewd loans from Blackburn Brighton Chelsea Bournemouth Man United Roughly add up to 17.5 million in today's Market value, add their spend of 4.7 totalling up to £22.2 million. What they have achieved over the last 2 season has been very good, but let's not get carried away by saying Ipswich are on the verge of a double promotion to the Premier League by spending 4 million quid when the value of the loan players is 3 times the worth of what they spent.Plus players they already had there. And I bet their wage bill isn't anything to be sniffed at. Not taking anything away from them at all here. But I'm getting fed up of people going on like they have done what they have done by paying players a 5er a week and a bag of discos. According to that there Google, Ipswich Squad today is worth 43 million. Ours is worth 34 million and you'd have to think Clarke is a massive chunk of that. https://www.capology.com/club/ipswich-town/salaries/ Canny like above about player wages. Who knows just how accurate they are but worth a look.
I thought the 5er and packet of discos was a tad misleading, to say tad is also a massive understatement...
Didn't think they'd have the squad to keep up for the full season but fair play to them. Shows you what an excellent coach can do.
That has no relevance and you’ve added that for effect. They’ve spent 4.7m and used the loan market perfectly. That’s what clubs like them/us need to do and they’ve done it superbly. Amad would have been worth at least 20m when he was here. We didn’t go up automatically. Their wage bill isn’t really excessive and they have room to spend a few quid to give them a decent shot at staying up next season.
Anyone putting down this achievement could do with a stint Of tranquillity. No one thought they'd be even in top 6 never mind top 2. Yeah, they've used the loan market well and spent good on wages, but so have many others.
