We are almost a carbon copy of Blackburn last year. They were in the play-offs for a large part of the season but fell off around March/April and bottled it. Never kept momentum and dropped points which they should’ve won.
Omur clearly wasn’t fit enough to start after coming off with his groin injury, otherwise I don’t think Rosenior would have changed anything.
Today isn't the day we miss out on the playoffs. It's all the daft points we've dropped throughout the season. We'll win the 2nd half 9-0.
If Ömür was fully fit and sharp I think he would’ve started. Only team selection Rosenior got wrong is persisting with Slater at right-back over Coyle and maybe starting Jacob (though Giles has hardly warranted a start). Only other option would be to put Greaves left-back and McLoughlin at centre-back but Greaves is and always has been a better centre-half than McLoughlin.
I put a few results on recently showing that possession means absolutely nothing. It is the BINs. We had one bit of possessipn in our own half where we passed it 6 times sideways, Seri sideways to the left, back to Seri, sideways to thr right then back to Seri and when we finally passed it forward we lost possession.
If you really feel that, you should get down to the bookies now and slap £500 on us finishing in 6th place.
