I assume they still do the shuttle buses from the ground to the city centre/station. If I can get myself out of bed it’s the 6:14 from Brighton and 7:55 from Euston. Bit of light refreshment in the city the Germans had the right idea about and hopefully a bit of blackjack after while the crowd drifts off
Yeah not as many as normal and the one I’m on is reasonably slow. None of those fast Avanti ones I think. Thinking about it will Norwich fans be heading there via Euston too? That’ll be nice.
I’m going with Col. We’re having a picnic on the train. Beth is bringing the gear. We do it for the last game every year.
Fingy you do know that Birmingham Airport is a complete shambles at the moment? Massive building works restricting access and hugely (hundreds) short staffed on security. This week a lot of people have missed flights due to delays getting into the airport and then through security, been all over the local news. Not much you can do about it except cross your fingers.
However if that were the case, with us now safe, we may have just rolled over. Now both teams have the footballing skills to still make this match an interesting "exhibition" contest.
Hope the R’s and traveling fans have fun today. It should be a party atmosphere. I will be on a beautiful sandy and remote beach without any internet, and for once, will not be worried about the result.
