I just think he wants to have his cake and eat it too. Trying to blame the players and the club for what’s happened right at the end of the season is poor from him.
Yeah. That may have been the case in August, but it wasn’t the case in December, January, February. You can’t say “we were **** when I came in almost a year ago, therefore it’s ok that we underachieved “.
Before Leeds played Middlesboro the other week they interviewed Luke Ayling who went to M’Boro on loan in Jan. Basically said that at the start of the season there were Leeds players who refused to play, they went to a game with only 16 players as some players didn’t turn up for the game as they wanted to leave. Im sure it was similar with us in terms of players wanting to leave when Martin walked in the door, but yeah to bring it up now smells like making excuses in case we don’t go up
I'm probably not the first person to point this out, but tomorrow's game is on Star Wars Day, so let's hope that our Jedis destroy the Leeds Death Star, using The Force, if passing the ball about at the back doesn't work
Yeah, and that was at the start of the season. In case he hasn’t noticed it’s the end of the season. We were very close to autos with many of those same players. So saying this now is just him being a bit of a cock tbh
Fair play to anyone who's spent £50 to schlep up to Leeds for a lunchtime KO and a dead rubber. Hopefully we rest our best players and kick them off the pitch. Not gonna lie I'll probs watch Ipswich today.
I’m not sure Dibling can play midfield, I’d have him in for Fraser and Charles in mid Wish he’d play Lumley
I don’t think he’s blaming anyone, just comparing where we are now and where we were then and highlighting our progress. We were in **** shape then It was also an excuse for me to pay homage to the old Colemanballs quote from Private Eye, when the famous commentator said “this needs no comment from me” Not sure how many will remember that, but I bet Lemons will
Im not fussed with what he said. Remember, it is his job to motivate a very fragile and demotivated group of players. To me, he is publicly saying to the players “Hey guys, look how far we’ve come. We’ve had ups and downs, but we are stronger and we will come through this together as one. Whatever happens be proud of what you have achieved and together we can do this.” Or something like that.
Joel Piroe, the player we all wanted to sign: "One of the all-time worst individual displays seen in a Leeds shirt". https://www.leedsunited.news/opinio...formances-in-a-leeds-united-shirt-last-night/
