Ummmm, 2 very different options options there, McTominay is one of the only players doing well at Man U, whereas Phillips is more washed up than last week's laundry.
Longstaff scored against PSG in the Champions League tbh, and got the goals to take us to our first final in 24 years....but there ends his legacy, time to ditch. Tbf he's done a **** tonne better than his brother.
I expect the Fulham player on a free. The defender. And a replacement for Miggy. That is about as much as we can expect. Anything better is a bonus.
MGW is a good shout from Forest and and probably cheaper than Olise....i'd rather have Olisie though if we're looking at replacing Miggy. I'd rather keep Miggy if i'm honest AND bring either MGW or Olisie in. We need good cover options both from the bench and to account for injuries which have absolutely ravaged our season this season. The likes of Murphy and Ritchie shouldn't even be last resorts for us now 3 years into our takeover....time to ship these ****ers out and move on now for me like.
Forest spent a fair chunk on MGW, around £40-45m, and he's proved himself more since then. I doubt they'd be accepting less than around the price of Olise to be honest. Think he's worth it though. I'll add that Fulham CB and Kelly (CB) from Bournemouth are both improvements on our current options. Botman + new CB and then having Schar and Burn as back ups is fine by me for now. Lascelles as a squad option.
All about the out goings again - not sure we really need to sell off our top players as most media are crying about currently. GK: New, Pope RB: Trippier, Tino RCB: New, Schar LCB: Botman, Burn LB: New, Hall RCM: Tonali, Longstaff CM: Bruno, Joelinton LCM: Willock, Anderson RW: New, Almiron LW: Gordon, Barnes CF: Isak, Wilson Res: Gillespie, Lascelles, Murphy, + youth like Murphy, Miley, Minteh If you can bring in Tosin Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly to sure up the back 4 that's the defence sorted. Then a RW who can play CF as well then decent back up keeper GK is all we really need for this summer. That would leave, Dubravka, Karius*, Krafth, Dummy*, Ritchie*, Targett, Fraser, Lewis, Hayden, Hendrick* to all be pushed out the door freeing up a few £100k in wages. Following summer start trying to get rid of the likes of Lascelles, Murphy, Longstaff, Burn etc.
FWIW, Murphy has been consistently better than Miggy this year. I reckon we get more for Miggy so I'd be shipping him out.
Valid point - If we could get £30-40m for both I'd snap peoples hands off and pull Minteh and Kuol in alongside a new signing for a similar price!
