Why would he have to do that? Every week he makes cultural references, some of which make me laugh, while others go over my head. Surely he doesn't to have explain them all?

Sorry didn’t mean to wind you up. Clearly he doesn’t need to explain the stuff he uses, like that joke and the title of the piece, with no attribution because he hasn’t. He’s not doing this for money (I think) and the joke probably isn’t copyrighted, so no harm done, eh?

I’m just grateful to you for pointing out that it was a joke or I’d have missed the opportunity to laugh at it.

I must be in a minority as I rarely read his reports. I find them somewhat tedious.

He must generate some income from LFW, since there is an invitation to the Patreon site, though I doubt (dount??) he'll be buying an Aston from the proceeds any time soon.

For the time he puts into it and agg it causes it’ll be pennies. I like all his stuff but they get some really good insight from analytics types and the away day reviews are good. That anyone can be bothered to keep a track record of refereeing performances going back years is laudable alone.

You and me RTID, I’m not a fan of his style. I don’t usually read them but thought I’d make an exception for this momentous occasion. He’s obviously very dedicated to the Rs and puts an enormous amount of effort into these things, and many Rs fans really enjoy them so good luck to him.

As you know, I'm the opposite - I love the reports. Suspect the Patreon barely covers expenses, if that, and he deserves more for the effort.

Think ratings are a tad harsh on some - even accounting for Clive's scale being a little harsher than mine. Think Field and Paal probably worthy of 9s alongside Chair.

An excellent report. A couple of lines particularly stood out for me.

This made me laugh, given that my daughters have never seen us win....

Daughters looking up at dads, sort of quizzically, as they stand and stare at a long dormant volcano – just give it another ten minutes, I’m telling you it’s going to go off.

And this made me cry a little, with Tony having passed.....

You take these times and people for granted when they’re happening to you. You assume that it will always be like this, and they’ll be around forever, until it’s not, and they’re not.

For those of us unfortunate enough to not be there in person, he regularly paints a picture that puts you in the middle of the crowd, amongst all the angst and occasional joy that being a QPR fan can deliver.

I like his writing style, but I guess he's not quite in the same league as Shakespear for you <laugh>

The QPR’s tempest bestowed upon leeds much ado about nothing automatic promotion attempt and a comedy of errors defence left it as I like it, an early summers nights wet dream followed by an Hamlet moment

    Well, since you want Shakespeare...

At Loftus Road, under evening's embrace,
Where QPR and Leeds contested pace.
The field alive with vibrant play,
    Victory seized in QPR's fray.

Lyndon Dykes, with force and aim,
Struck a blow, Leeds' hopes to tame.
    Ilias Chair, with nimble feet,
    Scored as well, Leeds' defeat.

The stands alive with chants and cheer,
Echoes of victories, both far and near.
Such a night where history's made,
    QPR's pride, brightly displayed.
