Don't care at this stage. Arsenal fans are just as insufferable as Man City are as a club. If City win 4 on the bounce it does start to make the PL abit of a farce, starts to make it look more like the one horse leagues that derided so much. Which would be terrible for PL branding, meaning the 115 might become more important to them. Also I think Pep will probably get bored if they keep winning the league.
City spent about 200million last summer and took in some some off chelsea for the cast off Palmer about 100 mil back in. The previous year thry broke even by putting a lot of the haaland deal under the table and getting masses of cash off chelsea and arsenal. City consistently declare the highest fees to agents but under thr table payments to haaland and his agent and father are basically known about. In Spain haaland would be in court after 1 year as the tax is being under paid as a result. In the UK? No issue. Thats the reality of city. Fake revenues flowing in to declare massive profits off nothing real and then cruising through. The reality is they spent a massive amount on doku and gvardiol but they had gralish at 100mil on the park too and that fee alone has impaced the rest of the elavue by allowing villa spend right up to the ffp threshold to get into top 4 now. This allowing of state sponsored fake spend not only ensures the skewing of the titles but is also skewing thats going on down the league
Been out all day and only just seen the results. Hopefully it will put paid to the daft idea that 4th was in jeopardy.
It was said PRIOR to beating fulham away so take 4points off us which our run in 20/21 and last season showed was more than possible and it doesn't look half as "DAFT"
Testament to the team to be even in with a chance of the title with a few games to go but overall this season they havent been solid. How many times can you go behind and still expect to win . Alot of cheap goals and think heads have dropped knowing the end is near but alas change is hopefully a positive thing. City or Arsenal to win title? Sure but throw in some injuries and massive controversy around decisions to make it interesting for the rest of us.
It was never worth worrying about, imo. Mathematically possible, yes - it's still mathematically possible for us to win the league, but we all know it's not happening.
We are now on 76 points. We could have been on only 71 if the worst happened with those away games. We actually lost to palace and Everton so Fulham should be very disappointed with what they did against us. That's the context of saying let's focus on getting the 3 wins needed ASAP. Also at the time spurs then imploded v Newcastle which was a massive loss for them. That could not be foreseen unlike factoring in arsenal and city losses (which I did) My spurs possible total at the time was 76 and Our possible implosion leaving us about the same or worse. As they've now lost to Newcastle and don't look realistic to beat Chelsea given they cannot defend of course it looks done. We had palace, Fulham, Everton, Westham, spurs, villa and wolves and they should be all winnable normally but once we utter blew up any disasters were possible.
I think another factor that may be contributing to the slump is the documentary thats going on at the moment Klopp always said he would walk if owners did a documentary. I can see the manager and players maybe considering there image with the cameras around.
You.might well be right. I forgot about that and frankly having seen this malaise I really don't want to watch it again as it'd be a painful documentary to watch klopps last weeks defined by failure for all rivals to laugh at.
I didn't realise it was happening - I thought it was just a proposal. It's a terrible idea at the best of times, but particularly so now. I don't mind FSG as owners generally, but this Yank idea of living everything through TV is really off-putting for me. I even cringe at these awful adverts our players are in.
They make 10 million. Thry could lose 80 if not in the cl due to distractions. It's not exactly a risk free undertaking as spurs had proved. Lfc are simply not at the level the owners seem to think we are consistently. We make good money, we pay good wages but the prem is highly competitive as spurs and utd are proving this season. Any slight drop for any reason and you could be out of Europe quick smart and have a massive hole in revenue. Arsenal, utd, City and spurs all have competitive revenues to us. Chelsea fall short but will catch back up. Newcastle will fake theirs soon enough. 7 into 4 doesn't go and never will. So upsetting the apple cart for 10mil and the hope to attract more fans is a bit thick.
I usually take this stance but it's not just the one team we need to mess up, it's two and we need them both to mess up three times I do, however, suspect you weren't being serious
