Prediction League Season 2023-24

Don't see why not they haven't played yet. We are quite liberal with rules.

 

I'm sorry but I'm going to say no on the joker. It's effectively making a choice from one. I wouldn't have a problem if someone misses say two Friday games and picks from the remaining 10 but I think it'd be unfair to others: particularly Musty who's in close pursuit with only two games to go.

So, subject to an appeal, the results are as follows. Note particularly the thrashing I gave to Plym, beating his zero points resoundingly with no less than one whole point.



Scores were low generally with some every odd results cropping up at the end of the season. Notably, Sensible got a full-house 12 from the Leicester v West Brom Super Match with Musty and Lyndhurst doing well on that game too.

Sometimes the 3 points for closest is won when the margin of error is significant but this time, SMH got it spot-on for 5 points at 43 minutes. That was a double whammy for Plym who had as usual parked his bus on 45 minutes.

Plym's departure from his usually solid results allowed Away in BC to widen the gap a little at the very top but it also allowed Sensible to close right up on 2nd place.



We'll start again on Friday at 8pm with QPR v Leeds and run through to Preston v Leicester on Monday at 8pm.

Two jokers please and double points as we near the end of the season.

Most of the potential candidates for Super Match this week are dead rubbers so we'll go with a game that does matter: Huddersfield (23rd, 44 points) v Birmingham (22nd 46 points).

It takes great skill to avoid scoring any points at all.

With one game to go last night... I had gambolled on Southampton causing an upset at Leicester....quite possible with Southampton 4th in the table....so to comprehensively emphasis my uncanny ability to score a fantastic ZILTCH....they got thrashed 5-0.....when your luck is out...your luck is out....a sort of drop your ice cream cone onto the floor and then slip in it moment...ending up with ice cream all over your cloths....and the empty cone (unbroken of course)...upside down on your temple.......BUT no ice cream in your mouth of course.

Now the opposite to ziltch is a maximum...which this week could be if my beads don't lie to me ....84pts ?....(2jokers & double pts)....I shall of course be going for that....naturally.

By the way notDistant...there is a game on the Tues 30th Apr......Coventry v Ipswich....are we not doing that one ?

Thank you for the early forecasts. Couple of points though:

1. You've got your goal time wrong Plym. You've put 22 minutes down instead of 45.
2. I'm thinking of putting an embargo on jokers on Rotherham to lose. It's just too easy.
