If we win at Coventry (can't believe I'm saying this) I will then want Towels to beat West Brom :emoticon-0114-dull:. If we don't beat Coventry them I hope West Brom and Birmingham win next Saturday. Also if we are out of it before we meet Ipswich, then I don't mind if they win if it stops TWS getting an automatic spot <cheers>

And Birmingham play Norwich last game of season - teams fighting for survival are not going to make it easy for our rivals

The amount the winning club gets for each round starts at £1,500 and ends at £15,000 for the semi-final, the winner of the final gets £60k (the loser £30k). There’s no way that it costs non-league clubs money when they win it.

The chance for a non-league player to play in a Wembley final is obviously a big incentive, though personally I think they should play the final at a much smaller ground.

Now add up travel costs, hotel stays, food and drinks bill, new kits and suits for all the squad, and their partners and family and mates and any other freebies. I think they would soon get through £60,000 I also think north Ferriby said so in the hdm.

Maybe also add in all the sponsorships they get then, for reaching a high profile final.

If you can’t get a non-league team to London and back for a game and not make money out of £60k, then you’re doing something badly wrong.

North Ferriby United went bust over an unpaid debt of £7,600, £60k is more than the club’s worth.

It probably depends on which teams get there and the gate receipts .
It looked like Ferriby took about 5 coaches full but if both teams take 10,000 it would pay off

Seeing Brid Town at Wembley, something I never expected to see and something that happened twice before I saw City there, was for me and locals who had seen them since they were first formed an amazing experience. One of the highlights of my football memories. A player I know who spent 18 years as a pro including playing in the First Division, regarded playing there for Scarborough, something he never did as a pro footballer, a highlight. These things would not have been the same played at a league ground.

Meanwhile, Gateshead have been denied their place in the National League play offs and a chance of promotion to League Two, as they can’t guarantee they can play at their Council owned stadium for at least 10 years, thus breaching EFL rules. Very messy.

Brid Town took 6,000 and it paid off.

Should imagine Wembley are making anything for women’s games there at give away ticket prices compared to men’s games as the costs will be the same.

Do the teams get anything from gate receipts at Wembley ? My main point is that the FA should make sure the clubs get their just rewards for getting there.
