V v Well another tough test at playoffs chasing Norwich-apparently we are two inform sides in the championship. We lost to a late goal in injury time at Ashton Gate earlier in the season.Saturday they have something to play for in getting into the playoffs with Hull on their tails.Where we have nothing to play for. I'm going for a Norwich win with them wanting it more than us come 4:45pm.
Them wanting it more than us could actually work in our favour. They will try and attack us. 1-1 draw.
Bristol City predicted team vs Norwich: Dickie set to return as midfield offers tactical clues Bristol City take on play-off candidates Norwich City in their penultimate away fixture of 2023/24 https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-predicted-team-norwich-9236055 Bristol City (3-4-2-1): Max O’Leary; George Tanner, Rob Dickie, Haydon Roberts; Ross McCrorie, Matty James, Jason Knight, Cam Pring; Mark Sykes, Scott Twine; Nahki Wells
I see us getting a draw here. I think Norwich will need/want to attack, and as we know that leaves us space, and if we're on our game, that is hard to stop. It's crucial that either Dickie or Vyner are fit to lead the defence, we were all over the shop defensively against Huddersfield when those 2 were absent.
Hoping to see Dickie on the right today, on his natural side. However I think we'll be steamrolled, they have much to play for where our lot might have summer beaches on their minds.
It’s City Impossible to predict a result or the performance But given we’ve nothing to play for, what price Wells getting another goal or two ?
How much more time do you need Sykes to put the ball in the net??? Poor decision for us to not go 1-0 up early on.
A steady first half from us and a deserved even score going into the final 45. Nothing much to say other than we should be up 1-0 but for a poor attempt by Sykes and over a full season those soft misses add up to an average campaign. We sadly lack flair and waste a lot of space that should be better used, and as for the continued back and forth that drives me crazy I suppose we are doing O.K.
What the hell happened as their goal was offside every time? The only player between max and the goal line was Max himself and doesn't the law say 2 players are needed because the final ball was passed forward?
Unless the laws have changed since I refereed that was a diabolical decision that was so wrong as it would not pass VAR.
Only thing I can think is Lino thought the guy who scored was behind the ball when it was passed. It is quite close, just off I think, but close.
