Kevin Philippart De Foy runs a nicely bred newcomer at Newmarket in the 4:45 TARAMASAALATA. You do just wonder if it will handle the dip.

Phew, Cheltenham really is a tough-looking card today. The (15:50), a Class-2 Handicap Hurdle over a distance just a few yards short of 3m on good NH ground, is as tricky a race as any on the card. Selection is the Decorated Knight gelding, Zain Nights, who seems to have as good a chance as any? So, without further ado, this is the pick. Bryony Frost rides for the Lucy Wadham yard. 5/1 (BetVictor/BetUK) top price at time of writing E/W best option.
At 10yo Summerghand still going strong. Finished faster than anything under hands and heels after spending most of the race in the rear. Given it was a pretty fast time he looks more than capable of picking up a decent handicap. Picking the race will be difficult as in the last 12 months he has run 17 times and won jut the once. His RPR has been rather volatile (ranging from 84 to 111). His highest ever rating was at Newmarket carrying 9.6. He runs at Newmarket on 4th May, carrying 8.13. The race today should have put him spot on for that race. Will be interesting to see the odds
Won at 9/2 SP. Led just about all the way, not so easy at Cheltenham? Honestly didn't think he'd put on a show like that. Great ride by Bryony Frost for the Lucy Wadham stable and connections.
