That we are very serious about him coming here and he is infact our number one target. Deal couldn't be reached before Beale so we were going back in the summer for Still. If it was a flat no from Still we wouldn't be trying again. Ofcourse anything can change but we're definitely in there.

I dont see that he is, at least any more so than the dull, uninspired choices who've been on the manager merry-go-round longer than him.

Most established managers/coaches have had horrible spells somewhere.

I see no problem appointing a high potential coach, especially when they are managing in a league higher than our own.

If that crack about Still having a €4m buyout clause is legit I think we'll swerve him. As much as he is a good coach, the reality is that managers rarely get more than 18 months at Sunderland and if he has a bad patch and fans turn, we would be chucking money away by sacking him, unlike a player who you can sell on when his time is up.
