How exactly have I seen what I wanted to in that instance? There will be games where we come unstuck, it's just not our day etc. But I can't shake the impression that's how you feel about the absolute plethora of times we've underwhelmed this season. When we've dropped points or gone out there and had one good effort in 90 minutes time and time again that's not just down to the opposition or that we've been unlucky - not when we've got the ball for 60 minutes of each game - It's down to doing so little with it and doing that slowly. We can break teams down if we move the ball quickly with direct purpose and intent. We've just seen it three times in a row so we know they can do it. 8 goals in three games. Players running forwards and from deep. That simply wasn't happening before. You talk as if QPR and Cardiff came to get at us and threw the kitchen sink at us but they did very little of it. We just got at them so much quicker than we've become accustomed to and it really worked. This isn't necessarily a dig at Rosie, just the way we've been playing, and personally I'm unsure whether that's down to the tactics or a real lack of confidence and cohesion in the players... Either way, if its as simple as 'the opposition sat deep, so we couldn't do anything' or claiming we didnt take our chances when we only had one or two in 90 minutes, then at that point the finger does get pointed firmly at Rosie. My stance right now - it's a shame the season doesn't start now. We've had a few good games earlier in the season but we reverted to the cautious stuff too quickly each time. Perhaps it's the players not doing what the manager wants? Perhaps it's a game plan focused too much on stopping the opposition? Regardless, what we're doing currently, which is far more purposeful than previous, needs to continue and needs to happen as often as possible. This angle of ignoring what's been wrong I just find bizarre.
Crystal Palace had the ball on the wing and passed it back because they couldnt see any way forward. They passed it forward and sideways and forward to the wing until they got the ball into the box and scored there was nothing wrong with passing back because the whole point of their play was to go forward as quickly as possible combined with keeping possession
One thing I noticed yesterday, Morton was playing deeper and Seri much further forward, they always switch about but it looked like it was planned yesterday.
In the last few weeks Seri has been a lot further forward Morton has been forward quite a lot too maybe we have just been attacking more
Just as we did with Tufan's great goal, which was excellent team play finished with individual brilliance. There was a real purpose, pace and intensity to our passing which has simply been too often missing. Whatever the reasons over the season, the manager is ultimately accountable. Maybe just maybe he's learnt, but I do agree with TC that there's likely been some pressure put on him from somewhere to allow more urgency & positivity in our play, be that from Tan, his coaching staff or even the players. If only ....
Aside from me moaning at Seri a few times this season dwelling I finally looked at him closely and he has so much time to play the ball .as the ball comes to him he’s already got his body shape perfect t for a lay off or pass on - like Hudds it’s a joy to watch . If not some of our others would look around or up a bit more .
Absolutely well deserved, covered every blade of grass. 42% of the vote. The on pitch connection, link up play with Omur is mouth watering. What a screamer of first goal. Ozan is like a new player from that at start of season. please log in to view this image
Why are you so open to the players all of a sudden "getting it" but totally against the idea LR has finally "got it"
but not a Leeds fan? Depends on the nature of the assault, it wouldn’t immediately block him from joining for me. We all made mistakes when we were young. It doesn’t necessarily make him a bad person
