He was supported by the new owners. They kept him in charge when he should have been replaced, spent over 100m, but he had already lost the squad. His time was up. Let's not get sentimental every time Wolfsburg get a result. We don't know the reason for their last manager losing his job; and we don't know the strength of their squad. In the last 5 seasons they've finished; 6th - 7th - 4th - 12th - 8th. So it very much looks like they've been underperforming this season. It won't be a surprise if Ralph turns their fortunes around.
Yes, I loved Ralph, but he was burned by the end of the Gao era. We should have moved him on in the summer (and brought in Di Zerbi, as we were going to do).
I agree, as much as I like Ralph, I felt he should have gone before the start of last season. That was the big mistake made by SR and what followed will make a movie one day!!!!
Maybe I’m being harsh, but he is still a twat https://theathletic.com/5375261/202...freedailyemail&campaign=711528&userId=5478073
Bit of the Saints about this England performance. Only turning up the intensity and pushing for a goal in the last 5 minutes. Finished 1-1
Allegations that Isis have threatened action at Champions League QFs tonight. https://www.sportbible.com/football...WTFXcjX9TCs-KuQdikh4TL3rNLLXPXJSosIlfomwA2sYI
Those last 3 goals at the Bernabeu were incredible. Foden scoring one of them, top bins from outside the box. The kid is on fire.
Saka is such a diving cheat. Brilliant player but he chose to dive rather than just shoot into an empty net.
Dorchester Town were down to the "bare bones" last night against Sholing, they had Harry Redknapp on the bench!... please log in to view this image
Watching Leverkusen trying to win the league right now, Tella is playing and they are 1-0 up having to win to seal it. Have to say that Nathan made a good choice, good luck to the lad.
I stopped for a beer after a walk and 3 guys sat at the table next to me, in front of the tv. Couldn’t understand a word they said but then realised they were there for the match and realised they were Glaswegian.
Leverkusen sealed the title in style with a 5-0 win. Though unfortunately the fans got a bit carried away and ran onto the pitch when they scored their 4th, and then their 5th goal in the 90th minute. The referee couldn't be arsed to finish the game properly and it was basically over anyway so the play did not resume Well done to Nathan Tella. It turned out to be a stunning move going there!
