Eventually I had to email [email protected] because the guy who should deal with it never replies. After they got involved, he did. His email is [email protected] and is apparently the one who should deal with it. Second time around I got no reply. So they now owe me £20.
I didn't say the first bit of that. Saying that is plain stupid. Anyway, explain why it's changed so fundamentally. We've been playing all season with all this backwards n sideways passing, playing back to Allsop who then takes an age whilst both teams reset., etc. Suddenly it near enough stops. Why?
Today's result is all about what Rosenoir has been building for the last 18 months. This is Championship football, it's hard, tough and unforgiving. Success doesn't come in a straight upwards trajectory, there will be disappointments and frustrations along the way. I've seen Leeds and Leicester fans now questioning the positions of their managers and they're going for auto's! I think this season has been a mix of 50% success / 50% pure frustration, but the style and method we adopt under Rosenoir means this was how it was going to be. As time moves on that ratio will alter as the success increases and the frustration lessens. The players (6 are new in January) are starting to really blend and know each other better and that makes them play quicker, and move the ball better. It's maybe that we eventually fall just short unfortunately, and so Rosenoir will be gutted, because this team is definitely good enough to finish in the top 6, but championship football will punish you for bad performances and we have undoubtably had too many at home this season. But today was a superb performance and just as the bad ones can be blamed on Rosenoir, todays can be attributed 100% to him also.
I doubt anyone on here could explain why it's changed with any confidence, that was kind of the point I was making. I could think of a number of supportive possibilities though, like new players gelling with old, Ömür's influence on the team, pitch improving, pressure of our position previously. Who the **** knows? It's not like we haven't done that at times this season, it just hasn't been consistent.
I do see and generally agree with that .... but it looks clear to me that, in addition to what you say, something has changed (call it letting the handbrake off, the instructions, whatever).
The stoke game and the fall out from that internally, changes had to be made and nobody was left under any illusions as to what would happen if things didn't
This and the fact we generally have a very young team and manager and that usually means inconsistencies
I think its just end of season approaches by opposition who needed to be more open so we capitalised , but it was probably coupled with a few words from the top to say move it quicker . I said o month or so ago that at the beginning and end of the season you get many surprise results and so it goes . The Foxes and TWS are finding it that way . We are getting what we deserve - but not promotion !!
Let’s hope all is well from now and we keep this intensity up. I believe we will have a very good season next time if we do! It was great to see us finally go for the first goal early and then the second before taking our foot off the gas. That’s what home matches should be like and that will improve the atmosphere very quickly (which will reap its own rewards). Onwards and upwards now. UTT.
Thought today first half after the first 5 minutes it was like a practice game, we completely dominated and played the ball around the pitch superbly. We got a fantastic first goal then had a number of chances to make it two, Often in games this season we haven’t but thankfully and deservedly did. Number three followed, game won. Frustrating in some ways when you look at some of the games we have lost. Many times on visiting opposing forums supporters have said Hull are probably the best footballing side to visit us this season yet at home it’s been so frustrating at times. Consistency is key in this division ,something we haven’t had. Anyway it’s great to finally get a home win, let’s hope for more of the same both home and away over the coming weeks and if which is most likely we miss out then let’s hope we build on this season and this feel good factor around the club takes us one step further next season.
It was like an end of season dead rubber. Today we played the first half like a team unencumbered with the burden of the threat of promotion. Then we played the second half protecting something we don't have.
Sums up Rosenior's attention to detail. Tufan has just scored the goal of the season. Rosenior is then going mental because Greaves is out of position for the kick off.
It all just feels a little too late Liam has let them loose and encouraged risk taking but Norwich keep on ****ing winning. Going into next season in the Championship I feel encouraged and lots of lessons learnt by Liam.
There was still plenty of passing around at the back but we just seem to be playing with more purpose and belief. You can see that as well in some of the little flicks and back heels that some of the players are attempting and generally succeeding with. Rosey also mentioned the other stuff in his interview where players committed professional fouls to stop them breaking away. I think it’s a combination of him trusting the players to make more decisions for themselves but also them knowing when and where to implement that and when to do what they’ve been coached to do.
Sorry but I love watching Allsopp’s distribution and dominance of his area. It must be like having an extra player. It is way above anything I’ve ever watched from behind the goal and I find it absolutely fascinating. He is is totally nerveless in his passing around at the back, and seems in command all the time. I love watching it. Unfortunately, I do concede his ball handling does leave a lot to be desired, and we do need to look elsewhere next season. I suspect I will never see live a better exponent of the non ball handling skills of a goalkeeper.
