Allsop's best game, credit where it's due, clean sheet, a few saves & good distribution. Omur seems to get better every game. Yes some imperious inter play around midfield, nice atmosphere, singing from all 4 stands, and attendance holding up, and I do love mauling a London team. UTT.
I didn't think Allsop was all that great today. He parried a few back into play and had Greaves bail him out a bit.
Admiration and plaudits for once at home. Banter at the fence included praise and mystery at our league position.. See you at Watford. Forza CITY. Allam’s GONE.
I thought today he proved yet again just why he's a poor GK, but it's pointless saying it! His distribution again though was spot on
I'm just giving him some credit, yes Greaves and Matty Jacob helped their goalie as good defenders do.
What struck me today is the bravery in playing passes forward. The tempo and risk-taking has certainly gone up several notches starting Wednesday night. Morton and Slater also took yellow cards for shirt-pulling to stop two QPR counter-attacks today, which is something someone should’ve done Wednesday night to prevent Boro’s second. I think it’s clear Rosenior has has had a lightbulb in head moment and decided we do in fact need to play quicker, smarter and braver instead of waiting for the opposition to get back into position. We lost the ball a few times but I liked that they were willing to attempt those passes. Tufan was instrumental today. Not just the brilliant goal and assist. His whole link-up today was brilliant. Credit to Rosenior to making these changes sooner rather than later. More of that please.
Gives you hope and belief that whatever happens before season end and with loans etc that Ac un and his team can find another Omur or three...
There was a problem about ten minutes before the start, but after I refreshed the browser tab a couple of times it worked fine.
Interesting that you think Rosenior made that change, rather than the players finally doing what he's been asking for. He gets visibly frustrated when players don't play forward quickly when they have the chance, which suggests that's what he wants.
For the first time in what seems an age I enjoyed watching us. The tempo seems to have gone up a notch or 2 and I don’t remember as many passes between cb’s. Three cracking goals, Tufan and omur for me are getting better. I actually think sharp would have got on the score sheet, we created a few chances/balls across the box that a natural striker would have got on the end of. well done Rosie
