Really professional performance, even at 11v11 we didn't look like conceding and at 11v10 it was even less likely. Great finish by Ekwah, such a difficult finish and he made it look easy. Thought Styles was excellent. Good at both LWB and then in CM towards the end. So calm on the ball, buzzes around the midfield getting after the opposition and has such quick feet. 5 clean sheets in 6. Great platform to build on. We need some attacking threat though, especially down the middle. Loving the desire and fight from the lads despite having little to play for table wise. Well done Doddsy.
Solid, professional, if 'unspectacular' performance. Delighted with the 3 points. Thought WBA were a bit ****.
It's not as exciting as all out attack but I enjoy it just as much in a way, can't beat getting points on the board. It'll be interesting to see how long we stick with the formation, for me we should permanently. I only saw the first half but our long passing was awful, if we improve on that we'll notch a few more.
Apart from the obvious we’re starting to grind out a few results. Fair play to Dodds. It’s not joyful but at least we’re no longer a pushover.
Dodds is working with what he’s got. Potentially assessed the squad and thought we’re not potent enough going forward to let’s sort the back out and go from there. We were on a hideous run and since then we’ve gotten 5 clean sheets so tactically it’s working
Love my club but there's days like this, where we've been through the **** and come home with the 3 points. In York and half watched the game via **** WiFi on my phone and I wish I had a football top with be just to show it off! Maybe it's the Hummel effect but I'm already excited for next season
Agreed. Looked absolutely lost for weeks, which is surprising for someone who’s played for a high quality international side. Maybe just getting his head round the size of the opportunity or something, but he’s looking very accomplished and I’d absolutely take up the option. We have the 5th best defensive record n the league, as a side note, this isn’t a Dodds master stoke. Just makes it painful to think what a 12-15 striker would have done for the standings. Going up in the Hummel will do.
