please log in to view this image v please log in to view this image v v Huddersfield Town come to Ashton Gate winning two of their last six games losing this week 4-1 to Preston away- they are sitting just outside the drop zone on goal difference to Birmingham and are fighting for their lives to stay in the championship. However from a Bristol City view after a demolishing job on Blackburn last night this should be a home banker-however we are talking Bristol City here and anything is possible depending on what team turns up. However i'm confident to say the score line will be 3-1 in our favour come 4;45pm Saturday.
I’m making the trip west for this one - along with Mrs R&W and our youngest!! Looking forward to it - got our tickets today!! It’s going to be a long one - off to the Sarten Club in the evening for my nephew’s 30th birthday - I’ve not been around there since we left in 1997 - things could get messy!!
Huddersfield fans not very confident…. https://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/119751/bristol-city-htafc
Off the train - quick beer in the Hole in the Wall before dumping our stuff in the hotel, before a leisurely walk to BS3 and a couple of beverages on the way!! just one thing - there doesn’t seem to be QR codes on the tickets now - is that right? I don’t want to get held up at the turnstiles - I called the Gate this morning and the guy on the phone said he wasn’t sure but he thought it would be ok!!!!!
I think they have barcodes on the print at home ones, not sure though only remember it like that for the cup games. But it’s all the same pretty much, stick it under the scanner and then you get let through, with season tickets on the phone we place them on the top.
The back four is interesting, to say the least. Mmm think I might change my score prediction. Can’t see us keeping a clean sheet today.
Not the best start by City and Huudersfield are bossing us a little bit. Our passing is not crisp enough and poor decisions are still being made which puts us under more pressure than is needed. Max has had a couple of shaky moments.
We get caught on the ball way too often and that's because of poor choices when turning back towards our own goal. So far we have offered no threat at all and they are bossing the play but only due to our mistakes.
The first half has shown exactly what we are and that is a poor team with very little consistency or ideas. Creativity is sadly lacking all across the pitch and our inability to create options is only one of our downfalls and when we finally do find some gaps we always make the wrong decision and decide to turn back towards our goal and a shaky Max O'Leary. Huddersfield want this game more than us and unless we wake up I can see a 0-1 scoreline coming our way. I expected exactly this kind of outing against a struggling outfit but after a goal fest the other night it just proves how poor we can be and the inconsistency needs to vanish if ever we want to compete in this division. I haven't noted a single player out there who has earned their wages so far and perhaps changes need to be made to make us wake up and smell the points.
