It’s embarrassing that we had no goals in the championship goal of the season last season. We scored about 6 better than any of the ones in the top 10!!
We seem to have steadied the boat which to be honest was rocking and the Blackburn game aside we look a bit more organised so for this one I may stick my neck out and go for a 0-2. My brother and cousin and cousins son are travelling for this one so no doubt a few beers on the bus and a few at the ground may well b slurped and I hope they manage to have a few more as celebration on the trip back North.
I'd just assumed Clarke's goal, at Reading, would be number one. I'd not noticed anything better through the season. So when I watched the 'top goals' I was expecting to see some cracking goals ... ... some of them were just hard shots from outside the box, some no better than I've seen in Sunday League.
Its a tricky one, the lad will want to play, we dont want to burn him out, but Roberts hasnt shown up since his injury
It was quite an intense game and two in a week would be a stretch for him imo. I'd like to see us create more on the right side than we did at Leeds. Pembele and Auchiche, or Ba, would have the pace and energy to cause them problems. We have some good options, I just don't want us to go for the three points, not settle for another draw.
Went for a draw in the Leeds game and that came up trumps. The same result would suit me tomorrow, then we can plan the demolition of Milwall. Same starting eleven as Tuesday with the same level of performance would be great. Of course what would be even better would be to be 3 up with 10 minutes to play, then bring the likes of Kelly and Watson on. It doesn't hurt to dream.
please log in to view this image Went for Aji (offers a long option with his heading) instead of Styles but wouldn't at all be disappointed or surprised if he kept his place, he did well at Leeds. Looked for someway to shoehorn Roberts back into the lineup but with Ekwah and Rigg playing well I think they deserve to keep their spots. I fancy us to give them a game.
