I reckon TLT out on loan, start with Pandur #1 and Allsop as back up. Without seeing Pandur it's hard to know if that will solve the keeper issue or not

Allsop isn’t good enough to be back up at this level. Maybe as an emergency 3rd or 4th choice

I thought the ball went to the right of his legs

I thought it went through is legs, but I haven't seen it from behind, so maybe you are right. Either way he shouldn't have been beaten.

Allsop has the worst reactions and positioning of any goalkeeper I’ve seen play at City in my lifetime. I’m sure there’s been worse ones before my time but I haven’t seen one.

He looks like someone who prefers to play outfield but drew the short straw in PE and is forced to play in goal, rather than a professional keeper.

Doing a search on posts with Ingram, these are picked out of the first few pages. Doesn't mean he never got praise, but perhaps a counter to the idea that Allsop's the only keeper who makes mistakes:

No one has said that Allsop is the only one that makes mistakes. Ingram did it as well. I think the point is they are both poor keepers.

Statistically, Allsop isn't much worse than other keepers we've had in the Championship recently, so not sure he'd be the worst keeper we've ever had.

This season he's played 32 games, kept 8 clean sheets, and conceded a goal every 72 minutes, on average.
In 22/23, Ingram played 22 games, kept 8 clean sheets, and conceded a goal every 76 minutes, on average.
In 21/22, Ingram played 29 games, kept 9 clean sheets, and conceded a goal every 76 minutes, on average.
In 19/20, George Long played 45 games, kept 7 clean sheets, and conceded a goal every 47 minutes, on average.
In 18/19, David Marshall played 43 games, kept 11 clean sheets, and conceded a goal every 64 minutes, on average.
In 17/18, McGregor played 44 games, kept 12 clean sheets, and conceded a goal every 64 minutes.

There's more than that for Allsop just in this thread <laugh> god knows how many pages you'd find if you searched the same for him.

I've seen all of our keepers concede similar goals. Some have not been criticised because they sometimes had very good games.

They're all Championship seasons, so I'm unsure what you mean?

Stats don’t tell everything about keepers. My eyes tell me Allsop is absolutely **** at shot-stopping and his positioning and reactions are some of the worst I’ve seen.

did they all have the same back line - did they all have the same number of shots to stop, what was the shot to save ratio, what is the proportion in the box compared to outside the box - where did we finish in the table - just because your bottom of the league doesn't mean your keeper is **** -- and so on

Like Rotherham's keeper, he isn't a bottom of the league goalkeeper by any means.

Finally getting around to the replay and Allsop played a pass that split the midfield and found Carvalho with ease just minutes into the game.
