He's not a RB in my opinion. Fine in a 5 with Hume covering him, but I'd be nervous if he was in a back 4.
Got the feeling he'll be a handy player to have in the squad without necessarily being first choice in any position. Bit like a Carl Winchester
In real time I thought what's he booking him for, then saw the replay and Luke nearly got the ball but not quite, but that's ok in my book, if all footballers gave 100% like he does there'd be some cracking players around.
He is a wing back based on last night, and a good one at that highlighted by the cross he put in to Clarke, it was the nearest we came to scoring.
The change in approach from when Mowbray was in charge has been quite dramatic. We used to be much more possession based and be attacking and fun to watch.
A couple of things struck me last night. Hume, Alese, Hjelde, Rigg, Ekwah, Jobe, Pembele ... ... I've no idea what their best positions will be. Also, I saw quite a few people saying we could've nicked it and wondered if that would've applied to Leeds ... ... after all we did have three times the attempts on target.
I think our defensive options best suits a back 5 at the minute, but we have options to play a back 4 quite comfortably too, good options to have and nice to be able to play multiple systems will need that the higher up the league we challenge
Some people are never happy. We might have surrendered possession last night, but we had 3 times as many efforts on target as the home team. It just takes one of them to find the net and we've got 3 points bagged. There are games where we can boss it, but last night was definitely not the time to try that.
Still rough here. Cracking day and night. Away end was very good but that’s no surprise when the players were at it from minute 1. We really could’ve done with that level of commitment over the last couple of months.
Seriously WTF is going on at Sky!!! I watched their coverage, last night, and sat through the commentators pontificating as to whether Sunderland could possibly hold out, etc etc etc. That was bad enough but Leeds sounded quite loud with their two songs 'MOT and We all love Leeds' ... ... I'm sitting here now watching the game on SAFCTV, waiting for my tea, while Mrs Smug is bringing the shopping in from the car. All I can hear is the Sunderland fans singing, was the sound doctored last night? Sky seem to have these fixations with crowds, I remember them claiming Stoke was a cauldron of noise then, when that faded out, they tried to convince everyone that an entire end at Palace was like Marseille when it was actually 200 idiots, in a corner, with a drum. Now their trying to build up Elland Road as the hotbed of football. After 16mins all I can hear is 'football in a library' and 'shall we sing a song for you' FFS she's still struggling to bring the bags in, it's so irritating I'm closing the curtains
She was in a male boxing gym, in Alfreton, for fifteen years ... ... I'd rather be tackled by Trai Hume
I thought Frankie and Danny did a really good job last night. There was a time when they didn't say anything and just let the football do the talking. They were probably less biased than Sky
Anyone on here had their photo took? https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...hZ1W8XAAgaWWddvvt6cHLgBCe-EIXyR4NdjxEeM5aeLcw
