11 games unbeaten now, hoping to continue that run. It shows what a dreadful choice of manager Apples was.
Wigan have nothing to play for (just like us). Oddly, that might make them harder to get something out of than Portsmouth, Oxford, Barnsley or Derby County - who were under pressure to achieve when we played them. I think we may finally come unstuck this evening. But no harm done really. Win some, lose some. We're safe now.
We've shown we can play some reasonable football when teams come at us. Fingers crossed that continues. But it would be great to build a fortress Valley and at least keep the unbeaten streak going. Feanlybthough, I want a win on our patch. We owe ourselves something to cheer about.
Although our defending was dire for both Wigan goals, on the balance of play we've looked a lot better (in my opinion) so that equaliser was well deserved. Great cross from Dobo and Chuks finally buries one!
That wasvan enjoyable watch, given we had nothing to play for, with some good performances. But it would have been desperately frustrating if we needed the ein, to miss the chances we did, and serve up two gilt edged chances like that to a Wigan team who really did little for their point. Hopefully some lessons for NJ there.
