    Wishful thinking I fear.
They're 4 points above the drop with 6 games to play.
    Some tricky fixtures though...

    Huddersfield (A) LOST
    Leicester (H)
    Cardiff (H)
    Sunderland (A)
    Plymouth (H)
    Swansea (A)

Some big relegation 6 pointers in there...

We can only hope those other relegation threatened teams are up for it.
I imagine Plymouth will lose at the Den, but I'm not sure where another win might come from.

It's a cunning plan to guarantee we sell out our stadium for the last couple of home games(do you remember the last time the Valium was sold out?):emoticon-0105-wink:.
Makes life interesting with something to play for, I mean who wants to just go through the motions and just play out your last few games?<cheers>:emoticon-0172-mooni

I seem to recall Thomas Sandgaard claiming the Valley was sold out once <laugh>

He really meant they had shifted enough free tickets to fill it assuming everyone turned up <doh>

You mean like when you were on the edge of the play-offs under Gary Rowett?

Looks likeit will go to the wire. None of the clubs near the bottom are hitting form, so a couple of wins against Plymouth and Cardiff should just about do it.

To be honest, finishing with a few nothing games is great for us after the dire football we played saw us slide down the table into a relegation dogfight.

The only problem I have with 'nothing games' is that the results of them also mean nothing.
The only meaningful win Charlton have achieved this season was over Derby County - when we really were threatened with dropping into the bottom 4.

Time and time again Charlton have been found wanting in games that matter.
Like competing for a top 6 place.

How the team performs on our current road to nowhere is meaningless in my view.
Any fans getting their hopes up that CAFC is going to begin strongly next season because of them should be a bit more wary in my opinion.

Who'd have thought it- mid-table mediocrity a success. Shows what a state we were in. After Apples' last stand I was on the train home when a fan shouted He's Gone! and agreat cheer went up.

    Agreed.

But it's better to win when a victory matters.
