    Can't see that happening.

I assume you mean Arsenal will drop more?

    ah bit pissed
no would expect City to be more likely to drop points from similar games as like us they can be exposed at the back

City or Arsenal would have put six past United today. Yes, because United contain 3 or 4 very good players (maybe one or two world class), you can always expect them to score, but they're easier to score against than Everton, IMO. This is why we'll come third this year, which I would have bitten your hand off for back in August, but is quite disappointing now.

And no, I don't blame Quansah one bit - he played fabulously today till that one balls-up: it should have just been a consolation goal . How we needed Jota's calmness and finishing today. The whole front three trip over the ball half the time they get into the box, Salah included. We can't expect a worldie from Macca to dig us out of every game. I'd truly let Diaz go in the summer if Real are serious about £100m. No composure at all between the three of them.

it's all the other stupidity that gets me.

1.you are 1-0 up. why are all 3 cms pressing up? why is endo not sat betweent eh two cbs and making a solid base to play from?

    2. why at 1-0 did we stop playing forward and start immediately (against for the umpteenth time) start making aimless sloppy passes about the back and turning back rather than go score more goals.

    3. at 1-0 after 48 mins I was sure we were going to throw it away. we went down the left and looked absolutely jaded and caught it up weakly then couldn't get back in.

    4. a 4 on 2 and szoboslazi wouldn't ****ing carry it on and draw one before passing. he played it too quick. diaz was still played in by salah but he chose to pass not shoot. nunez gets it and crosses not shoots. wtf.

First half szobo chooses to shoot left footed when he could pass in diaz for an open goal.

second half salah slashed it wide with right foot at his near stick rather than firing back across.

First half we are so focused in cutting back we manage to not find anyone properly and played tje ball behind diaz and salah.

    no precision.
    pass when they should shoot.
    shoot when the should pass.
    balls behind the line.

nonsense pressing where neville was riding fernandes for running forward while endo did the same 3 times and didn't get close to anyone. sometimes position is better than players just running at the ball

He made a difference and seems to know when to play and when you keep it simple. If everyone is fit right now I'm playing Macca Jones Elliott and Endo and Dom get dropped.

Some people don't deserve a platform to speak, they're too ****ing stupid. Apparently, Quansah has been getting abuse online after today's error. ****ing disgraceful behaviour, he's a young lad that just made a costly mistake ffs

I'm playing 4-4-2, with Szobbo, Endo and Elliott supporting Macca. We're over-elaborating it all having 3 forwards who all trip over the ball. I'd even give Danns a go - I really thought we would in the last 15 mins today. We really need to think of playing a finisher next to Darwin. I think old school would catch most of the teams out that we have left to play.

any lad can make a stupid error.

it's not the error it's the fact you could tell it was coming right from the off that half.

To take the positives from the error the lad put it behind him and continued to play well which shows that not only is he a great player but also has the mentality of a top pro.

    totally agree.

he will never make the same mistake.

he works so hard and really analyses and thinks about the game.

Quansah has been brilliant. Barely put a foot wrong.

Everytime I see him in the line up my mind immediately goes - oh big call etc, but then you watch the game and he puts in solid 7/10 every game with no issues. Yesterday he’ll learn from, is a young kid and easy mistake to make. He’ll know next time in that position that he’ll take that extra look

We have not learned the lessons we needed to learn this season. At Anfield we had 34 shots against Man U and couldn’t score. In the cup game and yesterday we had so many chances to finish the game off and we could not do it. The simple reason is the strikers are not clinical enough.
I love Nunez as a player, he causes teams lots of problems, never gives up and scores some great goals. But he is not nor ever will be a clinical finisher. Salah scores some great goals but he misses too many clear chances. Jota is our most clinical striker and his injury has cost us big time. The new manager needs to find a clinical striker if we want to progress.
I was at the Sparta Prague game at Anfield. I came away feeling we really were getting it together but after Sheffield United and needing a worldview from MacA to rescue us and that shambles yesterday, I think we have blown our chances. Arsenal will bury this United team

To be honest our issues look move about what we are doing in mdifeld as at the back as they are about the forwards not taking chances

that game should (another team) end no worse than 1-0. utd have nothing to offer. We were still pushing on pressing up as a side despite having the lead.

    Sparta were a nothing side.

If you look back at all our results when players were fit we are conceding a huge amount of avoidable goals annd look unbalanced.

Yesterday early i nthe second half we went forward down the left and looked absolutely out on our feet before they ever scored. Endo gets nothing but praise but he was gambling all game yesterday and pressing up rathe rthan holding station. I just think we are wide up and just about every side has had a goal off us from it.

    go all the way back

Brentford. and easy easy game against a side will load sof issues. 1-0 up and we let them have one 1-1, we get to 3-1 y the end at hom.
Luton at home. we start badly and conceded. they are awful so we come back and score 4.
Forest away. - a rag tag line up fomr us and we scrapped and scraped a late winner.
City away. we should have been buried but we dug in and city stopped playing imo. (massive error by them) we got a pen and scored it
the QF: we should be wining by 3 but we are 0-1, 1-1, 2-1. miss a shed laod stop playing and concede. 2-2. we get to 3-2 and cannot sit. we keep gmabling and its 3-3 and we are still gmabling forward 3-4 in the last seconds. The missed a shedload themsevles late on.
Brighton another awful start and we have to dig in and get it back
Sheff utd. do nothing but play in fonrt. get a goal do nothign for the half and let them off the hook. gift them a goal then have to chase it and got there
Utd. same story. we get a lead and are gambling on it after failing to exploit it first half. Gift them a goal. fall apart mentally and get it back to 2-2

Theres lots of heart but how we play is to leave space. We will run at the ball and hope to intercept of block or whaever, even if we are nowhere near it we will run at it and leave spece behind. its really that simple and the pattern is goal after goal conceded.

We've now all but 1 top 6 game played and weve drawn more than we've won with a poor goals for tallly ( can't finish) but also a poor goals agaisnt tally. in the top half general we have drawn more than we have won and agai its like 1.3 goals against per game.

Lets not kid outsevles, we've done massively well agasint the bottom half teams with just the one blemish away to luton so far and thats the only reason we are in a title fight at all.

the balance is off and has been all season. You won't fix that by replacing nunez.

We've gone a lot of the season with a makeshift back 4 as trents injured, konate can't play consistently and robertson has been injured and MOST of the time the young lads and gomez have done great.

I just think we are massively over hyping endo who is ok while ignoring the fact that szobo is not a cm for other teams he's a forward type player. The midfield is a massive improvement over last season but not perfect by any means.

Thats where we are now and I think arsenal are facing just the spurs derby for the title. Nothing else is stopping them. ctiy will in all theirs esp if they get by real.

On the Elliot debate would anyone have him replace Salah at the moment? Just seems since he has come back from injury he seems half the player I cant remember the last time Salah beat a man.

you have to have "patience" with salah to get him back but... this should be his last year. get him gone to Saudi for massive cash as his legs are just gone.

Elliott is not an rw. he is a 10. he wants to come short all the time so for me he's not for a klopp rw position.

give salah minutes to get back to speed. has been awful yes.

I think there maybe one or 2 twists or turns still to come but do feel we have another stinker of a game left before the end of the season wether it comes in the Europa or league will be the main question.
