Is Ecclestone training with the first team now then? Seems a bit odd, I'm sure he should just be sent back on loan to another team if we're not going to keep him - get him off the wage bill with a possible permanent move at the end of it.
I believe the emergency loan window closed on Thursday so he'll stay with us until at least January. I would then expect a loan deal in the January transfer window. Did score two good goals for the reserves in the week... Just had a look at the training pics on LFC website. Carroll wasn't in any of them... They look like they're loving their training though which is great, Hodgson and his exercise balls are thankfully a distant memory now.
I'd normally take a draw from this type of game but looking at the results going on at the moment we need the win to keep in the mix with the top 7. A win wouldn't move us up any places but would take us to within 1 point of the top 4 and keep us level on points with Chelsea & Arsenal (assuming all results stay the same and Arsenal win later today). Hopefully not too many changes from the team that beat Chelsea last week. Thought we played very well and Bellamy & Suarez's intelligent link up play caused Chelsea a lot of problems.
Yes it does: 'Despite feeling confident of winning, I actually think we'll lose' is a more basic interpretation of it (Y)

Arsenal will beat Man Utd on sunday. In fact, I am so confident that we’ll beat Utd that if we don't then I will eat my dog's poo" What the ****. When did I say this? Idiot
I think it will be a 2-2 draw today, and thats me being optimistic. I think Suarez will turn on his magic for this game, but so will Balotelli. Man City obviously have the better team but i imagine we have better morale and also a better manager who knows the EPL inside out- despite what the haters first thought
After the news of Gary Speed's tragic death, I can't say I'm really bothered about this game. The only interesting thing will be if Bellamy plays or not?
I know what you mean, I found it hard to get fired up for the Utd game after Wales got knocked out of the RWC that morning. This is on another level. Swansea game is going ahead, and they have a couple of Welsh players who are happy to go on and play. Hope this gives them fire in their belly and make it a tribute to their national coach.
