It's becoming more and more clear that Newcastle have a genuinely gifted home grown player now. Thought I'd make this thread so we can enjoy something for once.
Agree here captain. The lad will now get minutes and it will do him the world of good. if we sign a few in the summer perhaps a loan to another PL club would help him next year.
Think the fact we have had loads of injuries this season has allowed game time for the full squad. Good opportunity to decide who needs to go once we have financial leeway.
Longstaff is the least gifted player I've seen for decades. He has not ability whatsoever other than his work rate which is something you can teach.
The introduction of Hall at left back has solved a problem the manager refused to solve and now Longstaff is the last remaining black hole still in the 11.
He only picked him because of injuries it wasn't because he wanted to. If he botman targett Livramento or tripps Hall would bever have got in and Burn would still be left back.
That's the list. Could also do with upgrading on Pope and getting rid of Dubravka too. And selling Trippier if anyone puts in a decent bid like in January. Shame Lascelles is now broken for up to 9 months, could have raised some cash from selling him if successful in strengthening at CB.
