Sulemana and Edozie looked decent when they came on, in direct contrast to Smallbone, who was comically bad. Why on earth did he wait so long to make some really obvious subs, along the lines of people who might be mental, but at least can make something happen in a stodgy game like that...?
Because Martin doesn't have the awareness to make changes when they're needed. He's getting found out as a bang average Championship manager.
Martin had a bad day today. I'd be giving Sulemana a run in the team now. If it works, he could be a massive weapon for us in the play-offs. If it doesn't, then we're no worse off. (Plus, as I keep on saying, Fraser is a much better substitute than starter.)
On the plus side, the dual management of Threads, courtesy of Le Tissier's Laces and some interloper, rolls on to Tuesday. Next up, Coventry City, still smarting from their 2-1 win against Leeds. Er...
Not good enough, sadly. Lacking up front and creating chances. 3 without a win at this stage of the season might start ringing alarm bells
Trouble is, with their heads down / confidence shot . No joking we won’t beat any team twice and then a final at Wembley . Simply not going to happen .. If we make the playoffs .
I am 75/25 that we aren't going to be promoted this season now, but we could still restore form significantly before the play offs and that would definitely increase our chances. Sounds like we were ineffectual garbage today, but there was a clean sheet in there at least *clutching at straws.
WBA have drawn three in a row. We're giving them the chance to try and push for our 4th spot, but they're wasting it - and instead are putting their own top 6 spot under pressure.
